Cycling for joy, not for watts.
Dad, day job, bike. Roughly in that order.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I have had the absolute pleasure of riding this titanium @reillytitanium Reflex for the past year. I have thrown everything that Norway has to offer at it and I have received many questions along the way.

I will be making a little series answering some of the questions I have received.

Let me know down in the comments whether you have ever thought of getting a Ti bike or if you just think it’s hype, I’d love to know.

For some people this bike is heavy, for others it’s not.

Fact of the matter is it weighs in at roughly 9kg, and that’s not really a dealbreaker for me, for what it is this bike is perfect no matter the weight.

Stiff. Fast. Smooth.

You’re not supposed to get all three in one frame, but titanium gets closer than I expected.

I rode both on the same gravel and the same loop.

Here’s what changed in how it felt.

Would you pick comfort or speed if you could only have one?

Forget the average speed on your computer.

The best rides aren’t about how fast you get there, they’re about where the bike actually takes you.

Less chasing watts, more enjoying the view.

Is a $10k bike ever worth it? Honestly, only if it outlasts the hype.

A year on raw titanium taught me that the real value isn’t saving a few grams, it’s zero paint chips, zero crack stress, and a frame that handles real life without babying it.

Buy it once, ride it forever.
