Simar is a first-year robotics engineering major from Irvine, CA! She loves going out with her friends for a fun drink or sweet treat! A fun fact about Simar is that she was born in Michigan and she loves to snowboard❄️✨

“I chose Kappa because of the energy this chapter holds. Every single one of the girls made me feel so seen and comfortable during rush, allowing me to open up and become so drawn towards KKG. Kappa’s mental health philanthropy really caught my eye, as it can many times be overlooked even though it holds so much importance. Talking to different women throughout rush, I was able to see how passionate each and every one of them were towards this philanthropy. Their ability to hold themselves up with so much confidence while staying humble really resonated with me, and made me realize that these are the kind of women I would love to call my sisters. I’m so excited to be home!! 🩵”

We love you Simar and we’re so happy you’re home!! 🏡🤍 by @kkg_ucr

We had the wonderful opportunity this past weekend to send one of our members to Kappa’s National Leadership Academy in Nashville, Tennessee! 🗝️🤍

Hear from @melisaozekici about her experience!

“This past weekend I got to attend Kappa Kappa Gamma’s Leadership Academy, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! I met so many amazing Kappas from all over the country, and hearing everyone’s stories and opinions reminded me to get out of my head and just enjoy the moment. We learned the five values it takes to be a good leader, and my biggest takeaway was that “people support what they help create.” It really showed me how much stronger a team is when everyone gets a voice and feels a part of something. We also had so much fun zip lining, exploring, and eating some seriously delicious food. One of my favorite parts was talking with alumnae and hearing what Kappa was like for them over 50 years ago. It was so special to see how our values, our key, and our songs have connected women for generations. I was so nervous walking in that first day not knowing anyone, but by the end it felt like home. I left with new friends, a new perspective, and so much gratitude for this sisterhood.⚜️🩵💙”

Thank you Melisa for always representing Epsilon Pi in such a positive light✨💕 We love you and can’t wait to hear even more about what you’ve learned! by @kkg_ucr
