Making Our Voices Count 💜

This weekend, Sisters Brittnee Rattler and Dymond Scott represented the Atlanta Alumni Chapter of K.K.I.N.S.O. at the Lupus Foundation of America – Georgia Chapter (@lupusgeorgia) Empowerment Conference in Atlanta, GA.

We had the pleasure of meeting Aleta McClean and Christopher Reed, presenters of the session “Making Your Voice Count Through Advocacy.” Their words deeply resonated with how we strive to make an impact within K.K.I.N.S.O. — by turning awareness into action and using our voices to uplift others.

Advocacy is more than speaking up; it’s standing together.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the first keepers of this land — their spirit, their stories, their strength.

We remember the Trail of Tears, where the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole peoples were forced from their homes, carrying their faith and families through unimaginable sorrow. Their footsteps carved a legacy of endurance into the soil of the South.

May we never forget. May we continue to walk in truth, honor, and unity — keeping their light alive.

Ten Women | One Vision | Limitless Legacy

On October 4, 2005, our Incorporators planted a seed that grew into Krimson Kourts Incorporated. Their faith, resilience, and purpose built a legacy of service, sisterhood, and achievement that continues to shine 20 years later.

We will be forever indebted to Erika Bragg, Shawnee Sumpter, and Shatora Jones. ♥️

The South Region stepped into August with purpose and compassion. ✨

The Atlanta Alumni Chapter assembled food bags and hygiene kits with Restoring One’s Hope of Atlanta, Inc., as well as partnered with Agape Young Professionals to donate school supplies led by Sister Dymond Scott.

Jade McCoy served at the Julia & Charles Cherry Center Backpack Giveaway, while the Jacksonville Citywide Chapter supported back-to-school readiness with LJD Jewish Family & Community Services.

Brianna DeClue dedicated 15 hours to the Forest Spence 5K Marathon in support of children’s healthcare, and the Texas Chapter joined Empowering the Masses at a local food bank.

Regional Director, Shantavia Parker, provided free laundry services and school supplies through Laundry of Love and Sox of Love.

National Suicide Prevention Day & Suicide Prevention Month 🌍❤️

Every 40 seconds, someone in the world dies by suicide. It is the 2nd leading cause of death among people ages 15–29, and 90% of those who die have a diagnosable mental health condition.

This month, K.K.I. takes the K.A.R.E. MORE Pledge:

✨ Reaching
✨ Encouraging

We pledge to recognize the signs, listen without judgment, and extend support. Together, we will create safe spaces where it is okay to talk about mental health and healing.
