State track!🤩🏃‍♀️

I wanna start off by saying how thankful I am for this chapter of my life, track and field has taught me perseverance, humility, confidence and so many more lessons I will take with me throughout my life. It gave me a community filled with people and memories that will stick with me forever.
Id like to start off by thanking my parents who have supported me throughout my career and dealt with my tantrums when I didn’t do that well at a meet, my friends, who offered moral support and reassurance, and my coaches who are the reason for my success, passion, and drive.
Track and field has been my passion for the last 7 years of my life and it’s hard to believe that’s it’s actually over, the friends I met, the goals I achieved, and the memories I made are etched in my mind forever. From picking up a pole the first time, to breaking the school record, to making it to state, my growth in not just the sport but myself is a big factor in why I enjoyed it so much.
Special thanks to coach schuler, Adam Savriego, Karen Jacobson- who coached me throughout the season and during state even though she was the coach for Montevideo, The Pullan Family, and last but not least my own family who are the entire reason I started track and who sparked my passion for this sport.
Through my career I learned to remember the two most valuable things in track, that it’s not about the result, but about the progress… and that the filet o fish meal is $10.02 cents at McDonald’s after a meet. taken in St. Michael-Albertville High School by @klaira_shack
