Sometimes ppl get mad at me for disagreeing with them in comments and they lowk just look like this 😭 like, why are we pretending it’s weird to have discussions on public forums just cause the post has been up for a couple weeks 🥀 And why are we pretending not to understand what I’m saying just cause you disagree? Like lowk I think some people (a lot of ppl act) have forgotten you can disagree with someone and not try to make them seem sexist, weird, enabling, etc. like everyone wants a moral reason to have their opinion when sometimes it’s.. it’s just a disagreement guys. You don’t gotta get so antagonistic Jesus. I feel like I see a trend of people quick to try and claim some; “if you disagree with me, you must be (insert bad thing here)!” Like it’s not just another form of name calling because you personally just couldn’t come up with a good enough argument to change my mind 🫣
I think people’s pride or intelligence feels so injured by the idea someone disagreed with them that they feel like they HAVE to respond with some snappy comeback or denigration on the other person otherwise they’ll just have to admit they weren’t able to convince someone of their opinion. Easy thing to fall victim to on the internet, I have too, but some of yall do it for way too small things and way too fast. like all I said was “she already said no, why is her bf just letting her be creeped on by some dude” and you’d think I just said men should telepathically communicate discomfort of women to each other CAN WE THINK. by @klanceshera

unpopular opinion alert:
I hate the trauma Olympics in TADC, but I have to say. If we were to compare: it actually IS Jax who has the worst of it. So many people completely zipped past his explanation of his backstory I think they completely missed the fact he was describing emotional incest 🫠 which is, imo, way more horrific and traumatizing than like, being bullied. Yknow how Ragatha’s mother was verbally abusive? Like imagine that PLUS she also was lowkey making Ragatha a substitute for her HUSBAND like i don’t think yall grasp how gross and horrifying that is and it’s making a lot of TADC fans boil down his actions to “ok but why did he have to be a dick bc of it?” Like, it’s all “there’s no perfect victim” until it’s a man who experiences it, huh? Not saying this as a defense of him or his actions, but a condemnation of minimizing trauma just cause you don’t wanna feel bad for a bad person. #jax #tadc #tadcjax by @klanceshera

Personal take bc I don’t like being in comments:
Lowk guys… I think the chart is ALMOST spot on. Like I get what everyone is saying and don’t get me wrong, I agree. It’s not on women to de-escalate. It’s not ok for him to text her on the side. It’s not ok that he sent like 20 follow up texts, and I think it doesn’t mean she hates men if she posts ab it—But yes, let’s be honest, had she thought he was cute, she’d probably rly like that he texted her. I think we sometimes forget that people are not just statistics and that men/women’s behaviors are not monoliths. She doesn’t have to hate men to escalate it past what might have been necessary, and he doesn’t have to be a creep who deserves to be fired for shooting his shot even if it’s unprofessional. Like, situations CAN have grey area. Idk, am I not woke enough? by @klanceshera

It took me a second to realize but I just had sleep paralysis like, 5 times in a row.

First, I thought someone broke in and tried to assault me.
Then, I thought my sister came home (this one happened twice)
Fourth time, sister ran through the door and pounced on me,

Fifth time, I opened my eyes and saw the hallway from the bedroom door, a constant in these nightmares. I started using so many tricks to calm my anxiety. I breathed in for 4, out for 4, I took a moment to think of what I tasted, smelled, heard, saw—And that’s when I realized, my bedroom door isn’t supposed to be open. I closed the bedroom door when I walked in, meaning I’m NOT AWAKE. And that’s when it finally hit me that I’m not just having back to back nightmares, I’m in sleep paralysis. Which I then tested, because I tried to move, and I absolutely fucking couldn’t. But I tried REALLY hard and eventually got my eyes to open and see that yep! The bedroom door is in fact closed. Anyway now I’m up for a while because thinking someone came in 5 times in a row is extremely anxiety inducing and I’m too scared to try and sleep after allat. But wow I can’t believe that in trying to calm my anxiety I realized I wasn’t even awake bro 💀 #sleepparalysis by @klanceshera

My most controversial opinion as of late is that I’m convinced people who hate Evan Hansen have only ever listened to the soundtrack and did not watch the musical or read the book. That, or they’re extremely incapable of empathizing with people who make bad decisions because they’re influenced by mental health.
SURPRISE! Just like how people with depression can forget to shower, teenagers with an anxiety/depression combo who literally thought they weren’t going to MAKE IT PAST TUESDAY can make a bad decision and be too afraid to walk it back!!
If you watched the musical, you’d know Evan TRIED to tell the truth, but the parents made it sound like their souls would be CRUSHED. How you gonna tell a grieving family their son was not your friend but a bully who almost drove you to commit? OF COURSE HE LIED. AND OF COURSE HE DIDNT WANNA WALK IT BACK.

Does it make him a good person? NO. Does it make him a bad person? Maybe, in the eyes of the parents and sister, but the point of the story is that EVERYONE was using Connor’s death for themselves. The parents projecting onto Evan when they had a son they neglected to the point of overdose, Evan’s friend who rly didn’t give af about Evan, that girl who published the story as an outlet for her OWN struggles and need to fill up her resume—EVERYONE sucks in this musical, that’s the point! Everyone turned Connor’s death about themselves, Evan was the just the most egregious because he was thrown into the middle of it when people saw his signed cast. Yes, he let his new life get to his head. Why wouldn’t he? He’s like 17, even mentally stable teenagers would have done that bc they’re children bro 😭 he’s not some irredeemable leech. #dearevanhansen #dearevenhansen by @klanceshera

SPOILERS AHEAD:
So many things introduced in this episode where to even start? If anyone comes across this post pls discuss in the comments bc my brain is over wired rn:

Jax bottling up his emotions and possibly going to abstract as, in his own words, people are not pleasant to be around before they abstract and that’s exactly what he is.

Zooble giving advice to gangle that they themselves don’t take (we know they keep trying to switch body parts )

The difference between Zooble holding onto humanity and Jax rejecting it

Kinger possibly finding the loophole that all the characters can have agency if they embrace the weirdness (and that it suggests the way to get out of the circus is a balance between knowing it’s all fake like Jax, but working within the realms of helping eachother like Kinger)

Ragatha real moment of understanding WHY people pleasing turns people away in the end.

Pomni going back to Ragatha bc even if she got annoyed by that behavior it didn’t mean she didn’t like Ragatha. (Plus Pomni acting like a person and not just shy/awk stereotype)

Gangle and Jax’s relationship being a stand in for how abused and abusers act in situations—how gangle is so scared of Jax when he isn’t even around. Ik they aren’t dating but it is such a good allegory for how people who are in abusive relationships think and act.

God this show gets better and better everytime I see it.
