For Akris’s Spring 2027 Fashion Show—the second collaboration between Klang and Akris—held at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, Klang designed the music for a collection inspired by Austrian painter Martha Jungwirth.

A collection created under the creative direction of Albert Kriemler, featuring bold colors, bruised purples, offbeat pinks, greens, and yellows. The music was created and selected to echo the flashes of color and expressive brushstrokes of Jungwirth’s paintings, as well as the elegant geometric silhouettes of Kriemler’s designs, connected through the continuous thread of symphonic music approached from a contemporary perspective.

As Cage says, “we have the pleasure, slowly, of being nowhere, and that is a pleasure".

For Akris’s Fall 2026 Fashion Show, held yesterday during Paris Fashion Week at the impressive Palais de Tokyo in front of the Eiffel Tower, Klang designed the music for a new collection under the direction of Albert Kriemler. The music was created and selected for a collection focused on the refinement of fabric, construction, and craft. The show also featured a collaboration with Colombian textile artist Olga de Amaral, who created a spectacular shimmering gold curtain.

For this new approach to the celebrated lectures of John Cage, one of the European pioneers of sound art, the composer and theorist Llorenç Barber, together with the singer, ethnomusicologist and musical semiotician Montserrat Palacios and the conductor and stage creator Asier Puga, come together to offer—75 years later—a new perspective on two fundamental texts that, once transformed into sonic scores, reshaped musical creation and listening throughout the second half of the twentieth century: Lecture on Nothing (1950) and Lecture on Something (1951).

MÚSICAS HABLADAS transforms words into musical material—rhythm, timbre, silence, and timing become structural elements. Performers shape each fragment as a sonic event, making listening an active experience. Rather than recreating the original lectures, it offers a living reinterpretation, turning the stage into a perceptual laboratory where the text becomes an open score and listening a creative act.

Cornelius Cardew was one of the most radical British composers of the twentieth century. This work presents a new transdisciplinary version inspired by Treatise, Cardew’s legendary 193-page graphic score.

Treatise, a new work created and directed by Asier Puga from Cardew’s philosophy, emerges from the exploration of the line of research that Puga has developed in recent years through the design of expansive programmes in which the intersection between disciplines and the search for new scenic–musical languages are explored.

In this work, Treatise becomes a labyrinth in which the boundaries between disciplines dissolve to offer a new interpretation of one of the most singular scores of the twentieth century. This is the purpose of this new Treatise: to explore the limits of a score through a shared imagination that articulates our contemporary history and reality. Because, as the essayist Ramón Andrés reminds us, all imagination begins with the ear.
