OUT NOW: Unpredictable what remains in the end... @stefanroigk Solo-performance for objects, voice and electronics Performed live at Rumpeln #5 on Sept 28th 2024,Studio 764, Berlin. Mixed + mastered: Febuary 2025 at Chelsea Motel B-Side, Berlin. Dedicated to Stephan Wolters. Thanks to Peter Strickmann, Florian Wieland. ~~~~~ Digital Audio + 2-colour riso print (flourescent pink + flat gold ...looking a bit different than here on the pic) Perforated, hand-numbered Closed format: 110x125mm / Unfolded format: 380x125mm Paper: 160g, Akademie paper Typeface: Silka Mono, by atipo Layout + graphics: Stefan Roigk Printed at: @wemakeitberlin Limited edition of 150 KK03 klappkart.bandcamp.com/album/unpredictable ~~~~~ First there is nothing: a silence that is fascinating in its diversity, which almost completely fills the space around us. Gradually, isolated material noises and sound gestures creep into the apparent emptiness and fill the space with life.  But the acoustic conglomerate finds its way not only into our ears, but also writes itself into the memory of audio software equipped with two stereo microphones and 24 sampler buffers… and that‘s where the game of the piece starts: from the resulting recordings, the software then selects particles/passages according to random patterns and throws them back into the room, modified in pitch + speed. Stefan responds to these unpredictable settings with acoustic actions, creating a lively musical interaction. As more time passes, the more our memories (fed by sound events) and the software's memory (filled with recordings) become fuller. Stefan‘s live sounds mix with the fragments of memory that flash randomly from the buffer... ... ... 💥 Let's say: thank you Stefan, for feeding our memories and offering this excellent listening task to our ears! #stefanroigk #unpredictable #electroacousticmusic #soundart #maxmsp #objects #geräuschmusik #klappkarteditions #risoprint by @klappkart.editions

Introducing: Manuel Carbone @_manuel_carbone_ "Manuel is an Italian sound experimentalist and noise artist from Naples, currently based in Berlin. Guided by a profound fascination for the rawest aspects of acousmatic music, in his practice he embraces errors, glitches, and distortions as essential elements to challenge conventional auditory perceptions. Manuel’s sonic palette is diverse, weaving together found and synthesized sounds, field recordings and cassette loops. Central to his vision is the exploration of recollection, memory, and hauntology, and each composition serves as a medium for introspection. Collaboration plays a pivotal role in Manuel Carbone’s process, as he believes in the power of collective exploration and shared creativity. Through collaborative works, he draws inspiration from the intersection of diverse perspectives, resulting in sonic experiences that transcend individual boundaries and resonate on a communal level." Alongside his artistic practice, he curates a bi-monthly radio show for Radio WORM, Rotterdam, titled Continuoussoundscontinuous, and is a resident at Radio Alhara with Astrazioni, Bethlehem, where he presents a monthly series of mixes. Manuel Carbone has released solo and collaborative works via Adventurous Music, Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Falt, Steep Gloss and Minimal Resource Manipulations.
