Snakes (soft version)
Tufted rug, 50x70cm

Triptych of image reproductions in yarn from my childhood lido where I was allowed to take a series ofphotographs after it had shut for the season in 2023. It's rare a place changes so little over the course of two decades. Going there now is nostalgic and slighly strange, it's a sort of diving-into-memory experience. taken in Waldbad Enz by @klaravith

„Internet Cafe“ transforms the space into a site of waiting, repetition and partial connection. A place to come hang out, and wait for systems to respond. Expect filter coffee, instant ramen, glowing screens and nothing happening in particular.

Total Refusal / Susanna Flock, Robin Klengel, Leonhard Müllner, Michael Stumpf

An ethnographic exploration of the work and life realities of non-player characters, the digital extras in video games. Their labour loops, activity patterns as well as bugs and malfunctions paint a vivid analogy for work under capitalism.

Thanks Klara! Always good to be back to a social space of interconnectivity – where the internet connection is a mere background character and the cables that really matters are the ones inside the watery instant noddles soup cup.

A moment to avoid being a Non-Player Character, something we all fell to be at some moment of our lifes? Maybe idleness is really the way to break the loop?

Thank you to everyone who came down to INTERNET CAFE over the course of the last few weekends in search of wifi and fax services 💿 a dysfunctional space that promised everything it did not deliver. Oh to be trapped in this idle state!

Thank you @wgn.projects for having me ✨️ by @klaravith

In the second week of the Internet Cafe we had a special guest. Sister Clara passed by to fix the connection, not the internet one , but the one that connects us with a higher purpose. All the visitors had the opportunity clean their sins through her connection to our souls and the powers of purging sounds of her voice.

Pass by next weekend to test our new wifi connection.
