A day for the soul🪼🌾

22 km of views, chats & the best company. My little sister is 10 years younger than me, but these days we get to chase finish lines together <3

FIRST RACE BACK❤️‍🔥

Everything felt controlled up until 18 km, when my body suddenly just said nope. So the last 12 km became a very slow jog to the finish.
I felt so much crossing that finishline. Proud and at the same time, so disappointed.

Disappointed that it didn’t feel the way I had hoped it would. I wanted to fight in a different way. To dig deep because it was hard, not because I was trying to push through a pain that didn’t feel right to fight against just yet.

And I think that was the hardest part to accept.
My body is still healing. I know it needs time. But knowing it and accepting it are two very different things.

Still, I’m so proud that I made it to the finish line. And more than anything, I loved being back on a start line again.

The nerves. The preparation. The feeling of not quite knowing what the day will bring.

What a privilege it was to feel nervous about racing again. Maybe it wasn’t the comeback I hoped for but it was a comeback.

Running 30 hilly km three months after having Noah is actually pretty fucking far🤝
