NEW WRECKS OUT TODAY!KFAX21 - Blinkerfluid ArchiveOnce in a while an artist comes along that truly stands out from the crowd, in an overcrowded and homogenous horizon of fast fixes and easy copies a breath of fresh air sometimes appears out of nowhere. It was certainly the case with Australian illustrator Blinkerfluid who popped up on the international scene a few years ago with his 90s influenced renditions of b-boys and b-girls, graffiti guys and DJ characters. Make no mistake though, this is more than purely aping a style that previously existed…this the authentic understanding and skill born of true adoration and the nerdiest of nerding out. In an age of AI drivel and iPad pandering, Blinkerfluid took us back to school with a scrappy pad of paper and a single black marker.Anyone who has met Blinkerfluid can attest to his obsession and hunger, like all great artists he rarely seen without his drawing tools. Instead of scrolling through digital media doom he is experimenting, watching the world and adding to his huge archive of drawings whether it be at home, in a bar or even in the club at night. Aside from his unique style, you can also tell him by his penstroke, a confident and loose command of the pen has been mastered and results in the kind of funk you can only really get by putting ink to paper.We are happy at KFAX to provide only a tiny peek into the gargantuan archive of Blinkerfluid, KFAX21 is approximately 70 pages measuring at 10x14cm with risographed black ink on lilac 80 g/m² EOS paper with glue binding.The first 50 copies sold via our bandcamp and website come with a free special limited edition Klasse Wrecks X Blinkerfluid finepoint Sharpie™, the chosen weapon of Blinkerfluid himself!OUT NOW VIA KLASSEWRECKS.COM+ KLASSEWRECKS.BANDCAMP.COM by @klassewrecks

TRACK SPOTLIGHT.'Eric is Dead' by @d.j.steve & @kwakemusic Taken from WRECKS061 - ALTEC: 1138 EP.This heavy hitting A1 from our 61st release originally started life as a simple loop made with the interesting and unconventional combination of the Quasimidi Rave-O-lution 309 and the Erica Synths Baseline.After DJ Steve had made a clutch of loops with the combo he decided to retire the Erica Synths box, finding the interface clunky...hence the name of the track, 'Eric is Dead'.Those loops then found their way over to KWAKE, who was at the time inbetween studios due to moving and looking for something to get his teeth into. Armed with a recorder and a bunch of 70s and 80s movies (including THX:1138, The Thing and Apocalypse Now) he put the finishing touches to the track.Samples were added, arrangements were made and the track was then mixed alongside the others on the EP in the Sheffield studio of DJ Steve.WRECKS061 is out now on vinyl and digital.KLASSEWRECKS.COMKLASSEWRECKS.BANDCAMP.COM by @klassewrecks

NEW WRECKS OUT TODAY!WRECKS061 - @d.j.steve and @kwakemusic For the 61st outing, Klasse Wrecks heads north once again to Sheffield to the People’s Republic of Soyo. The South Yorkshire city has churned out some benchmarks in electronic music over the years and the tradition seems to be continuing, judging by the new ‘Altec 1138’ EP by producers DJ Steve and Kwake.While the purple bleep lineage can be traced in the 4 tracker, it is not ever classic or pastiche. The spacious dancefloor stompers hit more of an old U.K. Techno vibe and sometimes even venture towards John Carpenter soundtracks in mood and atmosphere.It’s classic Wrecks in that it’s not classic at all, unconventional genre placement advised!OUT NOW ON VINYL + DIGITAL KLASSEWRECKS.COMKLASSEWRECKS.BANDCAMP.COM by @klassewrecks
