Yann @yannarthusbertrand

Not many people influenced my mind and life in the way his work did. I met Yann in 2019 and we worked together on “Woman” along with most talented journalists and photographers. This movie gave me an idea on how portraiture is actually a love language: a fascinating mix of vulnerability, confidence and presence you offer to each other.

I wanted to take his portrait for so long, but never really dared to. Because it’s not an easy thing to photograph someone who has been photographing so many people all over the world and who just knows you right away.

But we met a week ago, in the sweetest morning light and silence, while we argued a little on how “film photography doesn’t make any sense” (but oh yes it does!).

Vincent and the morning light.
Given his expression, one day I should probably publish a book on how annoying it must be to live with a photographer under one roof, but whatever. by @klaudiaka
