The movie CHRONOCEPTION is out now and making its way through film festivals. What a rollercoaster. ✨

This journey has taken me from experiencing the intense and epic (and quite sufferfesty) expedition in a remote, magical and unskied mountain region, to now sharing that adventure with a wide audience through this equally magical movie.

This is a longtime dream that came true, after many years bumming across mountain ranges both near and far, with this obsessive snowboard and splitboard passion. All of this alongside research and writing jobs, and completing higher education. Not easy, but so worth it.

The most rewarding part is when, after the screening, I bump into a young girl who tells me she could relate to the movie and left feeling inspired.✨

This photo was taken by my idol the guide @jeanyvesfredriksen during that funky descent of Night Butterfly (5056m), a steep and beautiful mountain in South-East Kyrgyzstan. Thats when I sealed the deal about how much I thrive in complex and steep terrain. And that's where I'm headed now. 🌀

Why does nobody wear helmets for skiing or snowboarding in Japan?

Because rocks don't exist and landings are made of vegan kitten fur in the land of the rising sun. 😺

Strap some board under your feet and disappear into the experience 🌀

I spent last season with these beautiful @unitedshapes boards under my feet, from shitty questionable icy snow to deep and smooooth powder turns.

The 26/27 United Shapes collection just dropped, go check the vessels out!

I ride the orange gun Deep Reach Split 156, for some amazing flowy surfing, and it also works like a charm on steep hard walls, and the Horizon 155 for all the playful missions when there's no need to walk up the mountain.

Winter/spring season usually ends much later for us high mountain sufferfesters. But here we are, the ratio of carrying the snowboard to actually riding the snowboard has reached silly levels.

((This is also reminder that heat waves in the Alps in the month of May are NOT a whim of the weather, but rather a symptom of a broken economic and social system that destroys the living world on a global scale))

This month, and despite all the sweating, I got very lucky to be hauled by French skiing's most engaged loudmouth @gaetan_gaudissard for the filming of his upcoming movie (directed by another French badass @clara_domas 💘) and especially for one funky multi-sport mission in the Bernese Alps. We scored a line that has barely ever been skied, and it was insane and intense and beautiful.

I can't say more, because my French friends would chastise me if I did, but stay tuned for the film this fall! 🤐
