The past few months were all about @iamvolya.uk - I didn’t have a life, day and night working on the project.The pop-up went with a blast and I am endlessly grateful to everyone who participated and supported my initiative.I came up with the idea of @iamvolya.uk because I really wanted to give people an opportunity to learn more about Ukrainian modern culture. Independent Ukraine. It’s very young - we celebrated its 31st bday this August, but it’s so bold, so edgy, so provocative, so creative, so out of the norm. And because it’s young - it has no boundaries or borders, but a desire to express and aspire.All my favourite brands are now available online at IAMVOLYA.COM. Back in school, when I was reading books by Erich M Remarque, I could never understand how people could live, sleep, and love during a war. It felt like life had to completely stop the moment your only goal became survival.But as it turns out, life doesn’t stop. Actually, it’s the little daily routines and the moments of celebration that keep people from breaking.Of course, I have an experience to only a certain degree. I wasn’t near frontline cities where people can feel death every single second. We weren’t in Kyiv during the last winter, when people had freezing temperatures in their apartments. But I’ve heard the first-hand stories — from my family, who escaped Mariupol, from friends who went through the winter, from military on the frontlines. And it’s very clear: life doesn’t pause even when you are steps away from death.I want to dedicate this post to the Celebration of Life. Because every day Ukrainian children are born, Ukrainian families are created, Ukrainian businesses are founded. And even after a night of attacks, when the last air siren stopped at 8:05 am, our neighbours from above start drilling walls at 8:22 - life goes on :)PS. The end of an era :)Вже багато років думала про каре, проте домовились з Фабʼєном, що зроблю це під час вагітностіЗавжди знала, що хочу задонатити обрізане волосся на перуки до онкохворих діточок. Тому чекала повернення в Україну, щоб зробити це саме тут.Як виявилось - таких ініціатив наразі в країні не так багато, і я довго шукала проєкт, який готовий прийняти моє волосся, а потім зробити перуку саме на благодійній основі. Кажуть, з війною багато спеціалістів виїхало за кордонЗрештою, в Охмадіті мені надали контакт Олени Кошуби, яка знаходиться у Кропивницькому, і через ініціативу «Поверни Волосся» по запиту дарує перуки онкохворим дітям (@exclusive.hair.extensions.ua)Отже, в пʼятницю зранку, при підтримці сестри @klmnkanna і майстерності Олександра @alex.usov_hair , ми створили мені новий образ і волосся вже відправилось в КропивницькийДуже сподіваюсь, що воно зможе зробити трошечки щасливіше дівчинку, що проживає такий жахливий досвід, ще і під час війни, і можливо позитивно посприяє на її скоріше виздоровлення! by @klimmarie

Nearly four years ago, I started I AM VOLYA from my room with a simple goal: to support Ukrainian fashion and share our culture with the world. What followed was more than I could have ever imagined.This September, I will be stepping away on maternity leave, and I AM VOLYA will pause its active format for a period of time.Before then, we have one more summer together — filled with your favourite brands, community moments, and everything that makes I AM VOLYA what it is.
