Art belongs in the kitchen too. Styling with framed pieces, vintage objects, and treasures from travel is one of my favorite things to do. A few thoughtful additions bring warmth to the Ephraim kitchen while leaving the counters free for use. taken in Ephraim - Door County, Wisconsin by @klineinteriors

A closer look at the colors of Thayer. When we build a palette, we think about how sight lines and colors play together, as well as how the multiple floors of a home tell a story. The Thayer lower level feels like an extension of the main floor while it can also stand firmly on its own.

Six bathrooms all under one roof in our Ephraim, WI build. Our clients wanted each to connect, yet feel unique in their own right. Wallpaper, patterned and textured tile, reeded cabinetry, mixed metals and natural stone are consistent elements in each bathroom, but the mix differs bathroom to bathroom. With a range from sophisticated to playful, there’s something for everyone.

Which one would you call your own?

If you’re new to our feed, wallpaper is a staple in our designs. We use it to create visual interest, give a sitting corner presence, and accentuate ceiling heights. No surface is off limits and we love how each of these spaces have such a distinct personality. taken in Kline Interiors by @klineinteriors

A new home starts with a lot of questions. Open or closed floor plan? Is the kitchen or family room the heart of your home? What needs a place of its own? Where do you want quiet spaces to step away and where do you want everyone to gather?

Those conversations help shape the layout, lighting, storage, and materials from the beginning. Getting clear on daily life gives the whole team a stronger starting point to create a home that is perfect for YOU.

Save this for your first project meeting. taken in Kline Interiors by @klineinteriors

A new home, a fresh start, and a client who wanted traditional with a twist.

Our Chestnut clients had a growing family and moved from one Winnetka home to another, leaving their furniture behind in the sale. We started from scratch, layering color, pattern, and texture to connect the main floor and make it feel like them.

In the family room, that meant guiding them toward two sofas instead of a sectional. In the breakfast nook, patterned upholstery and a minimal chandelier to bring softness to the built-in seating. And a living room designed around the abundant natural light in the space.
Each room on the main floor has its own character while feeling truly connected. Which one would you love to sit in?

A custom desk, designed to serve as art from the very beginning. This one-of-a-kind desk was adapted from a small bench @ottraxzw had in their collection and after seeing it, I couldn’t get it out of my head for the Pensacola office. The curves and the walnut warmed up this deeply saturated space. A quiet room tucked away for focus and sometimes, a cocktail or two. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @klineinteriors

A first impression sets the tone for the rest of the home. In our historical Evanston project, the entry was designed to feel inviting and intentional from the moment you walk in. The wallpaper, vintage inspired tile work and client collected artwork, are the personalized layer we just love to see come together.
