Most of my pictures of Mama are in Japan but this one says it all!
-A grandchild to hug/squeeze nearby. Mama’s hugs were strong but so full of love and she always said when she saw family, “Come over here so I can give you a squeeze/hug!”
-The Bible open on her lap. She would share a scripture almost every morning with such conviction that it made you want to find that scripture right away and memorize it.
- A cup of coffee by her side. This was the usual morning routine. She would climb the crazy steep stairs in their Arao house to bring Daddy his morning coffee (along with a kiss).

Sitting here thinking about Sharon Wagar and how much her life impacted me. She was the international advisor at PBC that encouraged me when I was homesick for the great Canadian north. She was my boss when I worked in the missions office. She visited the hospital when I gave birth to Elisa and Joshua Kaylor. She was there when I needed a course correction but did it in such a kind gracious way. She and Bob Wagar were our leaders in the international ministry and really imparted to me a heart for missions world wide; not just in Japan. She was there on the phone when Joel passed away and more recently when I needed direction in moving back to the states. She was my mentor, my friend and a beautiful example of Jesus to me and all those around her. I miss her greatly but know she is loving heaven and being with the one she loved most; her Savior.

Late post…but so proud of Sophia for receiving the diligence & perseverance award for the 7th grade. She buckled down and learned how to thrive in an American school. So grateful for The River Academy. by @klkay16
