Home Again. ❤️💙💚

Some journeys take you away, only to bring you right back to where you’re meant to be.

Today, I’m beyond excited to officially begin a new chapter as the K–1 Dean of Teaching & Learning at KIPP Academy Elementary School! Returning to KIPP feels like coming home. This organization helped shape me into the educator and leader I am today, and I am honored to return with new experiences, fresh perspective, and an even greater passion for serving students, families, and educators.

As I step into this new role, I also want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Newark Lab High School. Thank you for an incredible four years filled with growth, challenges, unforgettable memories, and opportunities that stretched me both personally and professionally. To my school leader, the leadership team, my colleagues, and every student I had the privilege of serving—thank you for believing in me, supporting me, and allowing me the opportunity to serve as Dean of Students. That experience sharpened my leadership, strengthened my purpose, and opened doors that have led me to this very moment. Newark Lab will always hold a special place in my heart, and I pray for nothing but continued success for the entire school community.

Now… it’s time for a new assignment.

I am incredibly excited to pour into our youngest learners, coach and develop teachers, partner with families, and help create classrooms where every child can thrive. This opportunity isn’t just another job—it’s a calling, and I cannot wait to get started.

Here’s to new beginnings, greater impact, and walking boldly into the next season God has prepared for me.

🔥 Night 2 of Holy Convocation: A Powerful Start! 🔥

What a way to kick off Holy Convocation! 🙌🏾 The presence of God was undeniable, the worship was powerful, and the word spoke directly to our spirits. Hearts were renewed, faith was strengthened, and we are just getting started!

If you were in the building, you know the atmosphere was charged with glory! And if you missed it, don’t worry—there’s more to come. #hc2025cop Suit By: @longlivethewealth__ taken in Albany, Georgia by @klmtheceo

12 YEARS LATER… SAME BROTHERHOOD, DIFFERENT LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP! 💪🏾💙🔥

In 2014, three young educators walked into KIPP NYC as founding teachers of KIPP STAR Harlem, not fully knowing what God had in store for our futures.

Little did we know, our principal @gorjgal at the time wasn’t just developing us to become GREAT educators. We were being cultivated, challenged, stretched, and prepared to become GREAT LEADERS! What felt like everyday teaching experiences were actually leadership lessons that would shape the next chapters of our lives.

Fast-forward 12 years to 2026… and ALL THREE OF US are now Deans of Teaching & Learning! 🙌🏾📚

Different schools. Different teams. Different journeys. But the SAME mission, SAME passion for kids, and SAME brotherhood that started 12 years ago! 💯

One thing I’ve learned on this journey is that great leadership doesn’t just develop great teachers; it develops future leaders who will go on to impact generations. That’s exactly what was being poured into us back in 2014.

We’ve grown professionally, evolved personally, and stepped into leadership roles that we probably never imagined when we first started. But through every transition, promotion, challenge, and victory, the love and respect we have for one another have never changed.

From founding teachers to instructional leaders… LOOK AT WHAT GOD HAS DONE! 🙏🏾🔥

Here’s to 12 years of brotherhood, growth, excellence, and purpose. And here’s to the next generation of educators and leaders we’re now responsible for developing!

The assignment got bigger, but the brotherhood stayed the same! 💙🤞🏾 taken in 1501 Broadway by @klmtheceo

To all my educators out there… TODAY HAS BEEN A DAY! 😮‍💨🙌🏾

Listen, in this work, you REALLY have to know JESUS! 🙏🏾 Because some days, patience isn’t enough, your degree isn’t enough, your experience isn’t enough, and even your passion gets tested! You need PRAYER, GRACE, STRENGTH, and a WHOLE LOT OF THE HOLY GHOST! 😂🙌🏾

And can we talk about how getting to work at 6:15 AM and not leaving until 6:12 PM IS ABSOLUTELY WILD?! 😩🥴😂 Like, JESUS, I know You called me to this work, but LORDDDDD, these hours are giving FULL-TIME MINISTRY with OVERTIME DELIVERANCE! 😭🙌🏾

Education is more than a profession; it’s a calling. And when you’re called to this work, you have to remember WHO called you and WHO continues to sustain you!

Some days we’re teaching the lesson, and other days God is teaching US the lesson! Some days we’re pouring into everybody else while asking God to refill our own cups!

But through every challenge, every unexpected situation, every meeting, every decision, and every moment that tested our LAST nerve… WE MADE IT! 🙌🏾

And tomorrow? We get up and do it all over again because our babies are worth it, the mission matters, and the calling is greater than the challenges! ❤️

Educators, KEEP SHOWING UP, KEEP POURING, KEEP LEADING, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, KEEP PRAYING! 🙏🏾

Because one thing about this education life… IF YOU DON’T KNOW JESUS, YOU BETTER GET TO KNOW HIM! 😂🙌🏾 taken in New York, New York by @klmtheceo

❤️💛🖤 FRIDAY VIBES: PURPOSE, PASSION & PERSONALITY! 😎🔥

Being a leader is more than a title, a position, or sitting behind a desk. It’s about the lives you impact, the relationships you build, and the difference you make EVERY SINGLE DAY! 💯

Some days I’m coaching teachers, analyzing data, and pushing for instructional excellence. Other days, I’m sharing laughs, giving hugs, and creating unforgettable moments with the little scholars who remind me WHY I do this work! ❤️📚

The assignment is bigger than me, and the mission never changes: KIDS FIRST! 🙌🏽

I can be stylish, have a little swag, enjoy what I do, and STILL be serious about student achievement! 😎💪🏽

Leadership requires HEART, VISION, CONSISTENCY, and a whole lot of GRACE!

✨ Excellence is the Floor, NOT the Ceiling! ✨

And one thing about me… I’m going to show up, stand on business, lead with love, and make an IMPACT! ❤️🔥

✨ Two pictures, one statement: EFFORTLESSLY OFFICIAL. 😎🔥

Class is in the details, confidence is in the presence, and style speaks without saying a word. 💯

A little sophistication, a little swag, and a whole lot of ME. Never doing too much, but always making a statement. 👑✨

Calm. Confident. Classy. OFFICIAL. 🥶💚
