From watching behind the ropes to finally working behind the scenes, my 10th year at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans was definitely the most memorable one yet. I’ve grown up attending this tournament every year, but this year was a major milestone for me. Instead of attending as a spectator, I had the opportunity to join the team in my role as an Operations Assistant at TPC Louisiana.
During the tournament, I worked in the fan shop assisting guests and ensuring they had a great experience. It was eye-opening to see the sheer amount of work and coordination that goes into a professional golf event. Being part of the “behind-the-scenes” operations gave me a whole new appreciation for the effort it takes to host such a massive operation.
I’m so grateful to have contributed to the tournament’s success this year. I’m looking forward to continuing my role at TPC Louisiana and hope to eventually grow into a leadership career within sports administration.
