KMD 24th SEPTEMBER 23:40 Yesterday evening, banners stating ACT FOR GAZA were put up on the facade of KMD, for the occasion of the ceremony laying the foundation stone for the new Griegakademi, arranged by the University of Bergen and Statsbygg. On the 25th of September at 9:30 Present was rector of UiB, the dean of KMD and the Norwegian Minister for research and Higher Education! But those people never got to see the banners, as they were gone by 08:02 the next morning!!! Taken down, leaving to information… @kmdbergen what is happening? @kmdbergen never has you acted this quickly on anything! @kmdbergen who took the decision? @kmdbergen who was notified? @kmdbergen has there been any dialogue? @kmdbergen you disappointed us! Again….! @kmdbergen where are the banners now? @unibergen what are you afraid of? @unibergen why can’t you stand behind your students voices for a free Palestine? @unibergen we want you to stand up against genocide!!! @unibergen we will not give up!! @kmdbergen you can expect more banners! LA GAZA LEVE!!? We wanna highlight and repost what @imadalwahibi wrote! Reflections and perspectives from years of experience and frustration at KMD! We encourage everyone to read it, and especially new students at our faculty! There are lots of conversations to be held! Questions to be asked! And banners to be made! If all of this is new to you, ask around, talk to people that have been I Bergen longer! We will be continuing questioning KMD and UiB on their behaviour!!! Past and present! Stand with Palestine! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 taken in Fakultet for kunst, musikk og design, UiB by @kmdforpalestine

Dear fellow students, both new and old! ♥️ The banners are back; ACT FOR GAZA - the demands remain the same! We want UiB and KMD to boycott the apartheid state of Israel! Boycott those who commit genocide and those who kill with their power for the sake of power! UiB we, your students, ask you [again] to boycott Israel economically and academically!! Stand with Palestine, stand up for human rights! To speak up when others remain silent, to take action when injustice is normalised. To use the platform you have, whether it’s big or small! There are many and much to fight for! No one is free until we are all free, and we need each other! Activism is not about doing it all, but to find where we can contribute, together!!
