POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My name is Kevin Moore. Born and raised in New Haven County, Connecticut, I grew up in the world of structural steel — working at heights, chasing the adrenaline, and never being one to shy away from a little risk. I’ve always been an artist, but for a long time, that part of me stayed tucked away, something I kept to myself.

Then life had other plans.

After a major injury that left me rebuilding my life from the ground up, I found myself a thousand miles from home, in Florida, I left with my backpack, my dog, and a fire in my gut that refused to go out. I started over. And this time, I went all in on my art.

Today, I can honestly say I love what I do. I respect the path paved by the people who came before me, and I carry that respect into everything I create. As strange as it sounds, I’ve even reached a place where I can appreciate the possibility that breaking my neck was the very thing that set me on the path I was meant to walk.

I’m a father. An artist. A lifelong adrenaline junkie with a mind that rarely takes the conventional route. I draw, I paint, I ride motorcycles and I wake up early enough to watch the sun rise. I talk a little shit, say some off-the-wall things, fail forward, and keep moving.

I’m learning to let myself be human — to embrace the messy, imperfect, unpredictable experience of being alive. To take the hits, learn the lessons, find the humor, and keep creating through it all.

To every single person who has been part of this journey: thank you. For the support, the lessons, the opportunities, and the moments that helped shape the person I am today. None of it goes unnoticed, and none of it is taken for granted.

This chapter is just getting started. There’s so much more to create, so much more to learn, and so much road left to ride.

I’m grateful to be here. Grateful to be creating. And grateful to still be becoming. taken in Saint Augustine, Florida by @kmoore_tattoos

Three years ago I was working on this tattoo, in a neck brace, fresh out of major neck surgery, without use of my left hand, and also with a ruptured gallbladder severely infected (er told me I was constipated) so I was basically dying working on this 🫠
Fortunately my client Lauren is an ACE, and was cool with it.
As a trauma nurse it was probably a strange full circle 😂

Ill never be normal 🤷🏼‍♂️
