This book begins in the middle of a storm.

A family crisis. A woman holding everything together.
And a relationship that disappears without explanation when she needs stability most.

Left without answers, she is forced to grieve two losses at once. The uncertainty of her family’s future and the sudden absence of the man she thought would stand beside her through it. What follows is a journey through heartbreak without context, forgiveness without clarity, and faith tested by silence.

Rather than waiting for closure, she learns how to live without it. She chooses forward motion.
Healing.
Release.

And then, 46 chapters later, after she’s done waiting, the truth arrives. by @kneel.scream.write

The last couple of weeks have carried a lot of milestones.
We crossed the one-year anniversary of my dad’s surgery. We celebrated what would have been my mom and dad’s 40th wedding anniversary. And we reached six months since he passed.
Over the last three weeks, I’ve found myself rereading the final chapter of Kneel, Scream, Write again and again, not because I forgot how the story ends, but because I needed to remind myself of the most important lesson my dad left me with.
Some lessons become even more meaningful after the person who taught them is gone.
So, in honor of my dad, I want to share (most of) the final chapter of Kneel, Scream, Write.
I hope his lesson meets someone exactly where they need it today. 🤍

Chapter 36

I have been saying it all week: I am hitting my wall with God.

This rollercoaster doesn’t feel fair anymore.

One day my dad is doing well. The next, we get news like we did this week. He is back in congestive heart failure, and it isn’t looking good. His numbers are ten times higher than they should be.

We had a meeting with the cardiologist. I dialed in. There were three paths forward.

One: aggressive treatment, stronger, harsher medication.

Two: medication to keep him comfortable while his body continues to fail.

Three: do nothing and move him into hospice.

The day before this call, I had one of the best conversations I’ve had with my dad since before his surgery in August. He called to ask me to help him buy a necklace for my mom. He wanted to give her something beautiful. Something that said thank you for everything she has carried these last five months.

He sounded like himself. Lucid. Aware. Present.

For the first time in a long time, it felt like we were getting our dad back. Not a version shaped by hospitals and machines, but the real one. The one from before.

That phone call lifted me to the mountaintop. I let myself believe, just for a moment, that healing will come in a way I can recognize.

And then the next day, less than twenty minutes on another call, pulled me straight back into the valley.

No warning. No easing in. Just the reminder that hope and heartbreak can live one day apart…….

A story of healing, hope and becoming. Check out Angela’s first book Kneel, Scream, Write.

This is not a perfectly packaged story of healing―it's a raw, deeply personal journey through heartbreak, loss, and the unraveling of everything once held together so tightly.Angela Diorio built a life on independence. She learned how to stand on her own, how to create control in chaos, how to keep moving forward no matter what. But when love breaks in ways she didn't see coming, and loss hits closer than she ever imagined, she's forced to confront a truth she spent years avoiding: not everything can be fixed, and not everything was meant to be carried alone.

What follows is not a straight path to healing―but a series of moments. Moments of anger. Of grief. Of questioning. Of silence. And moments where faith feels distant… until it doesn't. by @kneel.scream.write

The feedback and photos I’m getting from Kneel, Scream, Write mean the world to me. Hearing how many people relate to my story has only confirmed one thing: we’re all in this together.

What I went through was traumatic in my own way, but it’s not rare. At some point, life comes for all of us. We all face heartbreak, loss, uncertainty, and moments that bring us to our knees. My hope is that this book reminds people they’re not alone when it does.

The link to buy the book on Amazon is in my profile. Shipping starts July 6th! by @kneel.scream.write

Before Kneel, Scream, Write is available online, I’ll have 100 exclusive copies available. Each one personally signed and customized. These first 100 books will also have a chapter that we removed so the ending can be focused on my dad. They will be available on April 28th. $25 without shipping, $30 with shipping. Please start reaching out to me directly - text or message!

I’ll be at the Byron Center Women’s Expo on May 3rd, and I’m working on a SoCal launch for mid-May.

To be honest, publishing this book is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done.

Opening up about the darkest parts of my life didn’t come easy—I went back and forth on whether I should even share it.

But I kept coming back to this:

If my story helps even one person, it’s worth it.
If it gives someone the courage to open up and lean on others, it’s worth it.
If it leads someone to question, seek, or open their Bible, it will be the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

If this book helps people understand the impact one person can have—simply by loving deeply, showing up for others, and putting God first—then it’s worth everything my dad taught me. by @kneel.scream.write

On March 11, my life was forever changed.
Instead of having my dad beside me, I now carry him with me, as my guardian angel.

I stepped away from Kneel, Scream, Write to grieve… and to receive the kind of love I didn’t even know how to ask for.

What I experienced in those moments changed me.
In the middle of so much loss, I was surrounded by people who showed up in ways I will never forget.

I lost my dad… and was held by a community so strong, so present, that I never once felt alone.

I was met with love, grace, patience and the kind of friendship my dad spent his life building.

Kneel, Scream, Write is back in progress.
And now, it holds even more meaning.

I was able to write an epilogue in honor of my dad and the community he created simply by being who he was.

Los Angeles and Grand Rapids launch dates coming soon. 🤍 by @kneel.scream.write

Growing up, I was a complete tomboy. A daddy’s girl. Friends with all the guys.
But somewhere between becoming an aunt to four nieces, the girls outnumbering the boys in my family, and the fierce women I’ve chosen to surround myself with, I became a true girls’ girl.

I’m empowered by these women. By the strength they carry, the gentleness they bring to every deep conversation, the laughter that shows up exactly when it’s needed, the light in the darkness, and the kind of love that has no boundaries.

Because without pain endured, you’ll never truly understand or appreciate, how deep love can go.

I can’t wait for readers to not only experience the faith throughout these pages, but to recognize the power of sisterhood and the friendships that help carry us through every season of life. by @kneel.scream.write

“The man who taught me what it looks like to stand tall in a storm. The man whose voice still echoes in my head, repeating his favorite lines:
Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
It’s not about the size of the dog in the fight, but the fight in the dog.
There he is, searching for the way because he still has the will. And in this fight, maybe for the first time in his life, his size doesn’t matter at all. What’s inside of him does.”

Meet Bruce.

A main character in this book and in my life.

He was found on the streets. A big pitbull with every reason to be hardened by the world. Instead, he became gentle, emotionally intuitive, and quietly present when words weren’t enough.

Bruce is woven through this story in ways I didn’t fully see while writing it. His presence, timing, and ability to hold emotion without explanation show up throughout the book.

At its core, this book is about helping people navigating trauma feel less alone and about finding strength through honesty instead of silence.

And if it also helps shift the stigma around pitbulls, showing their loyalty, gentleness, and depth, that will be a bonus I’m grateful for.
