The @ideride_builders crew behind the recent rock work on Sendero and Kandagnar! 🤘
Our board members, along with several awesome volunteers, put in the work to harvest all the rock and stage it along the trails before the crew came in to work their magic.
Both trails are riding beautifully since the recent rock work. Go check them out and see the improvements for yourself! 🪨🔥

We’re ready to send it…are you?

After many years of hard work, we are excited to announce phase 1 of the Burlington Bike Park at Leddy Park! This phase will include beginner-level flow trails and jump lines. We’re excited to be working with Knight Ide, owner of @knightrisoxide, he will begin work in early May and will finish Phase 1 in August, 2025. We are also grateful for our partnership with @fotwheel, @vmba802 and @btvparks for their amazing support! Thank you to the @burlingtonparks Burlington Parks Foundation, The Linthilac Foundation, @richardtomfoundation, @philkmetz , @bespokebest, @outdoorgearexchange and all of the individual donations from community members in Burlington and beyond. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The work isn’t finished yet. Much like the progression-focus of our team of volunteers, we are always looking to the next, bigger and better send. Phase 2 will include additional flow trails and jump lines and maybe a wall-ride or two! To get this done, we’re going to need your help. Head over to the link in our bio and chip in what you can.... We’ve been cooking up something big over at @watavt !

This spring we were approached by @amylovetomasso and @vermonthuts about building out a new trail network on 600 acres in Moretown (just five miles from Waterbury and six miles from I-89)!

We spent the summer working through a visioning process identifying the goals and objectives which include :

- develop world class trails with top builders that broaden the progression found in Vermont including more true beginner and more true advanced expert trails inline with what you would find in other parts of North America.
- build a skills/freeride progression zone with options for never ever riders all the way up to a free publicly accessible expert/ pro-line.
- adaptive friendly - provide adaptive friendly loops and fun to ride trails for the adaptive community
- climate resilient - modern and sustainable trails built with high use and extreme weather events in mind.
- place for community building and events with a 14 acre meadow and large trailhead parking area.

Our main goal is the broaden the Vermont Mountain Bike Community and create a welcoming and inclusive space that you can show up where ever your skill set is at and what ever your goals are from kids and new riders up to pros and aspiring athletes.

We’ve partnered with @knightrisoxide and @ideride_builders on the initial concept and this amazing 3D map of the proposed trails, and are flagging the initial trails this fall.

This project is now shovel ready to break ground in 2025, and we are actively seeking funders to help us raise the 1.3 million needed to build this out. We also are hosting an open house on 9/28 for folks to come and see the property and learn more about the design. Link in bio

Seems there was a good reason that after 8 weeks, the bruise on my leg still hurt. Turns out it was broken! Can’t believe all the crazy shit I did with a broken leg 🤦🏻‍♂️
