Nothing like spending the day at @volomuseum and the Ecto-1! They moved it out to the turntable in Showroom 5 for the weekend so people could get photos - with a charitable donation! I had a blast not only getting photos but getting to really examine the little details up close. 😊 Thanks Volo, as always! (And also thanks to @jetgrl2020 & @weirdo_wes for taking these photos for me) by @knitchick79

Nothing like being able to enjoy a fireworks display without having to go father than my own house! This weekend is a big America 250th celebration carnival for Norridge & Harwood Heights, and they had fireworks tonight. Since they launched from Ridgewood, 2 blocks from my house, I could enjoy. My neighbors were in the backyard to watch as well. by @knitchick79

Part two of our visit to Dolly’s travel stop. Rhinestones galore! The restaurant had so many glittery instruments on display. It was honestly so cool! And of course plenty of glitter and rhinestones on the merchandise. I just wish the blue tote & shirt with butterfly wasn’t so expensive (it is so me!) #travel #dollyparton #doggyparton #tennessee by @knitchick79

Last week my friend & I managed a stop at Dolly’s new truck stop on our way to Florida. It’s a bog standard truck stop on one end with the rest looking like a rhinestone factory exploded 🤣 But honestly so much fun! Lots of fun photo ops, great breakfast buffet, and plenty of merch. #travel #tennessee #dollyparton by @knitchick79

Happy mail day with the arrival of my new trading cards! Designed by @thegreenhairedghostbuster - card number 291 in the growing series. Super excited!! (I just got 100 to make sure I was happy with the quality & such but I can easily order more) #Ghostbusters #wcgb #ghostbusterschicagodivision #tradingcards by @knitchick79

Been busy & behind on my movie going. But I couldn’t wait for this one. My mom would have loved how much Grogu got to shine in this one, she liked Mando but the baby was her favorite. The popcorn buckets were tempting, but I couldn’t skip the super cute drink cup. And yes I have a little Grogu on my shoulder (got him & the shirt at the Miniso popup at Woodfield). #mandalorian #grogu #starwars #amctheaters by @knitchick79

Free Comic Book Day 2026! 13 shops, collected 47 free comics & bought some graphic novels & other stuff. Stops: Graham Crackers Comics (Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove), Mr Wayne’s Pop Culture Collectibles, Gem Comics, Eisenhower library, Atlas Comics, Thunder Comics, Black Cat Books, Modern Age Comics, Second Level Games, Heroes & Heroines, Beyond Tomorrow. #fcbd2026 #freecomicbookday #chicagoland #comics #wcgb @windycitygb by @knitchick79

My latest geeky acquisition just arrived. My girl Mariner @trondynewman is in the house! She looks incredible, I love that they really nailed her fluffy ponytail. And of course I immediately fought with her to change her hands and put her in my favorite Mariner pose! Now I just need to rearrange my display shelves to make a spot for her (and Hoshi). #startrek #lowerdecks #startreklowerdecks #startrekstrangenewworlds #exo6 by @knitchick79

Our friends Slimer & Matthew over at @ghostbustersagainstepilepsy asked everyone to wear purple today - so I pulled out my Huntr/X shirt (and matching socks)! (Also featuring my new favorite cardigan from @svahausa ) #purpleday #epilepsyawareness💜 #Ghostbusters #space #huntrix by @knitchick79

Trip down to the Auto Show with coworkers today. We rode a couple electric cars (Chevy Silverado EV is nice, but expensive!) and also did Camp Jeep. A couple of our group took advantage of the Mobile DMV to renew licenses - great idea! I enjoyed seeing some really fun cars in Chi-Town Alley, what a cool new addition!! After we did lunch in Chinatown, so I took advantage to shop a bit. (Last photo is my day’s haul, including the flashlight I got from IKEA & mints from Nissan, but forgot my little ship from Navy). #cas2026 #chicago #chicagoautoshow #chinatown by @knitchick79

This award is a great honor. It comes from my team, @windycitygb , and is for a member who’s been around but really stepped up. 2025 was difficult, in so many ways, but the 13 events I made it to were a big help to making it thru the tough. And getting handed this award in the worst week of my life was definitely a big help. I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been to find such a fantastic group of people who take care of each other. Thank you, team, I will attempt to continue to uphold the values of this award. Now I gotta rearrange my Ghostbusters shelf to make room for this! #Ghostbusters #windycitygb #family #staypuft by @knitchick79

Advent calendar, last day. Santa Villager has entered the chat with a cookie on the oven and a bucket of milk. Second and third pics of the whole set. I’m kinda sad this is over, I’ve been enjoying it. #lego #advent #minecraft by @knitchick79
