Perfect color scheme to be working on on this lovely day in the forest. #piecebypeace by @knitsareforkids

Making some progress on my Peace by Piece blanket.

The description says “Designed with love, to bring moments of peace”. I love that. So needed for our current political climate, on top of the regular messiness of personal life.

I decided to block these in batches, but I can see why she recommends to do them one at a time. I ran out of blocking pins! Still fun to see them laid out.

Goodbye Seabass, our sweet and loyal fur baby. You were more than just a pet, and you’ll be deeply missed. I’m so grateful for the time we had with you, and happy you’re no longer in pain. I will cherish all these precious memories ❤️😢 by @knitsareforkids

Pattern: Melt the Ice by @yarn_cult and stitch markers by @winemakerssister proceeds go to immigrant aid. by @knitsareforkids

Knitting is more than a hobby for me. It’s a way to process big emotions like love for a newborn, or wishing comfort for my mom in a hard time, or grief when loosing my dad. There are a lot of big emotions going on in the world right now with the horrific tactics of federal immigration policies. I never expected to see our government encouraging agents to act like this. So, I’m picking up my needles to join in on this act of resistance. I think the official knit along starts Feb 9th. The pattern proceeds are donated, and there is a community group that comes with the pattern. #melttheicehat @yarn_cult @needleandskein

Went on a beautiful hike, turned very difficult towards the end. Turns out we took a wrong turn and ended up needing a ride back to our car from the ranger! What an adventure!!

FO Alert! I finished a pair beaded of wrist warmers for my daughter. She picked out the color of the yarn and beads, including some moon and firefly charms for a whimsical style. The hardest part was stringing the beads in the right order, otherwise this project flew off my needles!

Kids are getting big, not sure how many more years of this we have, glad we pulled this one more time. A little late, but better than never 😘 by @knitsareforkids

FO Alert! This one has finally been delivered to my extended family in Florida. It’s a crocheted farm blanket! I really stretched my crochet skills on this one! I grabbed all the photos that I captured along the way. I love how all the different textures turned out, and so colorful! I wish I would have thought to make something like this for my kids when they were little. 💕
