There’s something so satisfying about watching a pattern come together, from cast-on to wearing the finished piece in the gardens of Versailles. For this version, I picked DROPS @dropsdesign Daisy Crimson red. The stitch definition really lets those five geometric triangles and clean vertical lines pop. It holds its shape at the brim, tops off with a traditional stem, and feels right at home in France.

A closer look at the construction of the Cherry on Top Beret 🍒

When I designed this pattern, I wanted a clean shape with practical details that keep the knit engaging from start to finish. It starts at the brim with a structured folded hem worked in twisted ribbing so it holds its shape comfortably. From there, the body transitions into five geometric triangles framed by clean vertical lines of knit stitches to build that classic beret silhouette. The crown decreases smoothly at the top and finishes off with a traditional knitted stem.

Visiting Paris has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and standing in front of the Palais Garnier wearing a design of my own felt surreal.

The city has so much character and the vivid crimson red wool pops so well against the stone architecture. This yarn is the merino Drops Daisy from @dropsdesign that stays comfortable all day while exploring.

Here it is - the Cherry on Top Beret pattern is officially live!

I had been planning a trip to Paris for a while and knew I wanted to wear a beret I designed myself, so I sat down and made it happen. For this sample, I used DROPS Daisy from @dropsdesign in crimson red, an extra fine merino wool that’s super soft and holds the shape so well.

For years, I searched for the perfect T-shirt - one simple enough to throw on for everyday wear, but polished enough for dressier occasions. Eventually, I decided to design it myself.

It still surprises me that I can make a piece of clothing with my own hands and wear it.

Clothing has always played a role in my life. Shopping trips with my grandmother and friends were my favorite way to spend time, and I always paid attention to what I wore. As I grew older, store clothing quality started dropping, and I wanted something different than what was available on the rack.

I guess my mom suggested knitting, so bought my first skein of yarn and a pair of really long needles 🫣 Then I found a tutorial on YouTube to make a scarf.

It was a long process to go from that first scarf to where I am now.. taking an initial idea, drafting a design and turning it into a final garment and pattern. Building this skill took time, but having a passion that directly impacts my daily wardrobe makes every step worth it.

I just can’t get enough of this shade. Knitted in @dropsdesign Belle, the texture of the twisted ribbing and outlined purled rounds really frames the classic stockinette body so nicely. A beginner-friendly pattern made for everyday wear.

Spill the Tee in moss green 🍵 This shade is actually what inspired the pattern name. It reminded me so much of matcha and green tea that Spill the Tee just felt like the perfect fit.

Knitted in @dropsdesign Belle, it feels light, breathable and easy to wear. I wanted a simple stockinette body, but added twisted ribbing framed by outlined purled rounds.
