You know the knitting experience was a dream when you only have photos of the yarn and the finished project 💟

This one truly flew off my needles — and I’ve been wearing it ALL the time since I finished it. Such a staple in my wardrobe. It’s easy to dress up or down, but the best part? It’s incredibly warm and not scratchy at all, even though it’s such a rustic yarn. And another plus: it gives that soft mohair look without actually holding a strand. Very fluffy.

Going into my fifth year of knitting, and I’ve reached a point where I really start to contemplate my previous makes.

With more experience in fibers, wearability, and knowing what I actually like to wear, I think a lot about why I reach for certain pieces more than others — even when I like how they turned out.

It’s the same with this one. My Vest No. 8.

It used to be a Diamond Structure Vest. That didn’t feel right, so I frogged it and made this version instead. But somehow… this one doesn’t fully feel right either.

I really wanted to do this amazing yarn justice. It makes the cables pop beautifully — the texture is so good. But I think I’m missing the drape in this piece. It feels a bit too structured for what I tend to reach for.

And now I’m back at the same question: Frog and reuse? Or let it be? 🐸

Reached a knitter’s milestone: I went to another city specifically for yarn 🙊 And it did not disappoint.

I was on the hunt for some @hjelholtsuldspinderi and found the most amazing gems. And when I saw this purple, I just knew it had to come home with me for something special. It’s moody, mysterious, rich and so beautiful. The kind of color that makes you instantly start planning projects in your head.

First post in a while. Why I haven’t been on IG much lately.

Everything around the taking + posting process started to feel like a bit much. I got a little too carried away with the pressure to “do well” when reels and video content became the new standard. It just didn’t feel like me. And somewhere along the way, that took away the fun of why I started this little digital knitting diary in the first place.

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been making things in the meantime. I have. A lot 🙃

Now I’m back — feeling refreshed and inspired. Not thinking about what the algorithm wants. Just sharing photos and little videos of my makes, for anyone who feels like getting some colorful inspiration.

It feels good to be here again.

Baby knits are so cute and this Baby Bear Bonnet is no exception 🐻✨ My little baby cousin is going to look totally adorable in this!

Note: Modification (method of decreasing) at the back of the bonnet. Next time gonna switch the M1L and M1R. Because after working the ears, I realize they don’t look good and I think it should be switched in the pattern 😅

After a lot of contemplation I decided to remake one of my most cherished and ‘first makes’ in my knitting journey: the green sweater no. 15 🍀 I remember the moment so well that after finishing it. I looked at it for the entire week like: ‘damn, did I really made that’. Feeling very proud. But, I was still a beginner and didn’t really think a lot about yarn choices, and didn’t have a preference. Now I do, and it’s not superwash yarn 🙂 I just don’t like the feel of it on my skin. So I never grab this beautifully crafted sweater, to my regret.

Long story short: remaking this sweater in a merino and mohair combo 🪲

Yin yang MOODification sweater in all its ‘one sleeve’ glory ☯️💙

I kid you not but the struggle was REAL with this one. Even though I swatched and achieved gauge.. I don’t know what happened while knitting but I turned out waaaay too big. Like I started and restarted the body 5/6 times.. (lost count, also for sanity reasons)

Had a hard time maintaining tension when doing colourwork. I think that’s a beginner experience? So I eventually frogged the body. Again. Now it’s just sitting here and I’m just gonna walk around with the sleeves as arm warmers in the mean time. Cause the motivation for this project has left me completely 🙂

But it’s so pretty, cool and fun looking 🥹 I do want the finished object so bad. Just bummed that the knitting process is like this, cause learning colourwork was actually a lot of fun!

Made this very special bunny for my bestfriend’s baby girl 🥺💕 Handmaking a gift with love and intention truly feels special and I can’t wait to see her play with it 🐰

Wearing one of my favorites from last year 🦋 I am thinking about knitting another blue sweater. Maybe one in cobalt blue?

And also contemplating to knit another Hazel Sweater in a chocolate brown yarn. But more oversized, without the slits and more cropped. Ahhh wish I had an extra pair of hands 🙃

Want to share a new technique that I’ve learned to do the Italian bind-off. Pros: my yarn gets less caught when pulling it through the loops and the movements feel smoother. Will you try it out? 🫣
