TONIGHT! Stoked beyond stoked for Kikagaku Moyo @richardsgoat

I first heard them a few years ago when they last played the goat, stretching a jammed-out set past closing time to the chagrin of our beleaguered door man. Beautiful melodies and textures riding rock-solid rhythms, and tons of stage presence. I bought House In The Tall Grass form the merch table and kept it in rotation ever since, including tracks on tapes and radio shows.

I was stunned silly to receive a text a few months back saying the band wanted me to open for them at their next show. Whaaaat? How did they even know who I am? Maybe I’ll ask... Anyway I’ve got a fat stack of groovy jams and I’ll be spinning them in the main room before and after going wild to their set in the miniplex. The show was sold out before I even got invited on board, but if you didn’t get a ticket you can still come hang out with me in the bar! I’ll be starting around 8:30 by @knoxapoppin
