Came across this photo from May. It often feels like the beginning of summer days, golden sun, flowers everywhere and the grass so green. Went the other week to check out the frozen waters around Boston. This spot in Quincy was mesmerizing with the ice build up, the eroded seawall that was twisted and bent, the fresh snow, nature and Boston skyline in the distance. Was a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy a quiet moment. It has been hard to post with all that has been going on. It is hard to live our lives daily with so many being hurt and broken. The Aurora came in strong in the backyard tonight. The trees were swaying, the wind was whistling and it said the temperature felt like 23F, but I spent over an hour outside watching the colors shift and move. taken in Massachusetts by @koalmi01

Full super moon and I had the chance to go and try to catch it along the coast. Unfortunately clouds rolled in, but just peeking through was the moon, giant with a pink hue. Love how hidden it is here. It was as beautiful to watch as it quickly took to the sky, passing through the clouds.

Walking into my house I saw this funny thing in our bush. As I moved closer in realized it was a little garter snake lazily looped over the branches. So adorable. Just watching me watch it. Lovely little nature moment. And right before one had slipped across my feet. A good day for snakes.

August to me has always been the peak of summer. Fireflies dancing, katydids calling, meteor showers to watch. Hazy, hot days spent in the water, sandy feet, melting ice cream. Life is just flying by. I’ve taken so many photos lately, but just don’t get to posting them. Hoping to go back and share photos from my trips past few months.A few weeks ago we went to see our new trolls in New England by Thomas Dambo. Erik Rock and Greta Granite were amazing to see. We loved the details like the singed maple hair, found object necklaces, and their finger and toenails. So many little details kept us looking and taking in these wonderful sculptures. Do you have Thomas Dambo trolls near where you live? Next we need to get up to the ones in Maine.

An amazing achievement in finally seeing the northern lights so close to home. They were patches and sprays in the sky as we jumped in the car and drove north on 495. We found a perfect spot in a hill and watched the purples and greens come and go. It was so amazing to see these colors in person and watch them shift and dance. So happy to have the biggest solar storms in years allow us to see this life long dream at last. I am definitely ready to chase some more!
