As @mariapiacun , @katherineloyacano , and I are now in @anubisimprov ‘s LV 4 #improv class, I started thinking about how long this road has been. We started in January of 2020 in the improv for actors class. 3 levels, 4 weeks each.
The pandemic hit as we started level three. @davidjameshamilton moved us to an online hangout to just keep going. Didn’t charge us, but we still kept learning and playing every two weeks. It was amazing how accessing that creative part of yourself released all the stress of quarantine, at least for a day or so. It was an extremely stressful time.
Then the vaccines rolled out and we were able to finish level 3 and have our recital.
Anubis started giving one lv1 & lv2 improv for actors workshops and we took those. Even though we had graduated lv3, these not only reinforced the lessons but pushed us toward the fabled 10,000 hours. There’s a saying that to be an expert in anything you have to do it for ten thousand hours.
Then they started teaching Improv last year. Each an 8 week course. And once we graduate, that’s it. We can take the courses again but it’s now time to either start our our troupe or join an existing one.
So , I decided to share two of my favorite scenes from our Improv for actor’s recital.

On this day 35 years ago, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey was released. July 19, 1991. I had just turned 21 on July 3rd, with a pretty good head of hair I might add. 😂
Then on Halloween night ‘91, I was working at Wendy’s dressed as Death.
When I was booked as Death’s photo double on @billandted3 , I showed the crew & William Sadler this pic. The crew’s minds were blown 🤯. Bill looked at it, smiled, & said “it’s destiny.” 💀 😀
(Unfortunately, I didn’t get to show it to @alexwinterofficial or Keanu Reeves. Maybe @dogstarband could show it to him. #lol)
