Last night’s show was nothing short of amazing! The vibes were great from the beginning to the end! Apparently I have been coined as “The Smiling Drummer.” 🤣 I couldn’t help it. Things were just right last night.

To my bro @jtjazz Thank you again for the recommendation. I show up the way that I do so I can keep your name good with these artist. You’re the man!

To @paulak.latham thank you so much for just being you and looking after my wife while we were working. She really enjoyed herself and her time she spent with you.

To my guy @jjsansaverino THANK YOU for letting be a very small part of your Midwest tour. You are legit the real deal on and most importantly off the stage. Real recognize real and there’s a reason we all just clicked. Last night was one for the books!

Last but not least to my wife @joniecelyles thank you again for flexible so I can focus on the music and show up how I need to. God is really blessing us beyond our wildest dreams this season. Let’s keep going higher

If you’re anywhere around, do yourself a favor and catch one of these dates on the tour. Here’s a small taste of what you’ll get. 🔥🔥

From preparation to performance.

When I first got the call to play for Adam I immediately went in to study mode. Every time I’m called to play for an artist I either look them up on YouTube or their music catalog. This is all done before I get any music or stems sent to me. I want to make the artist as comfortable as possible since I’m filling in especially since we did not have rehearsals (met the crew 2hrs before the show) I want them to be free to do whatever and for them not to feel like they are lacking from their original crew.

Also, respect their music. They wrote it that way for a reason. This is NOT the time to come in with your “ideas” and “renditions” of their song. That’s how you NOT get a call back. lol

Lastly, I want to send a huge shout out to @adamhawleymusic and his talented wife @kathawleymusic for the opportunity. It was nothing short of a great time on and off the stage. I love your material! It’s always good to meet good people and you guys are just that. Also shout to @jtjazz and @jasonjacksonmusic for be phenomenal musicians! It’s always a good thing when you have a crew that can PLAY! Lastly shout out to the bro @_jbproduction for getting our sound sweet!

Grateful Sundays. I’m grateful for @keetwit and @geeofficial718 . I grew up on his music but my bro was the reason I knew how dope John was. We would even go to John’s church after our services. Thank you bro for letting me tag along all those years and thank you John for making classic music that we can love today. 💪🏾👑

Life lately…God is constantly reminding me that me and my household is covered. This is where passion and conviction comes through with my playing. I am grateful to hang out with my @oasiscitychurch people! Thank you bro @swhitaker2 for allowing me to fill in! And to the band, you gentleman always make me want to bring my A game. Lastly, I got a chance to meet Pastor Jake. Thank you for pouring in to me and speaking life over my playing.
