“Kwaliteit boven kwantiteit”While the December pre-orders are in production, we wanted to capture the production line in detail. To show you where our pieces are made, and how.I’ll be honest: we knew production was a big task, with a lot of people involved. Still, this went beyond what we expected.This campaign only shows a part of the process that happens in the Netherlands, and only the pieces we’re allowed to share. We visited four locations: Nootenboom Textiles in Tilburg (the largest fabric dealer in Europe), our production partner in Groningen, the embroidery atelier in Groningen, and our pattern cutter Farrie in Amsterdam. I don’t have the exact numbers, but I’d say around 30 people are, in one way or another, directly involved in the final product.And that’s only counting the people and steps within the Netherlands. That’s without even touching the amount of work and people involved before the fabric reaches our home country.I want you to think about that the next time your order lands on your doorstep.In the meantime, all pre-order patterns are being cut this week, and will be screen printed or embroidered next week. We had a small delay due to the snow a few weeks back, but everything is up and running again.Delivery is planned for week 8.
