Sometimes we look for people to complete us because we’re avoiding what’s missing in ourselves.

These last years haven’t been easy—fix one thing, five more crack. I’ve been embarrassed, and smaller than I’ll admit.

Sitting with it changed me: I’m learning to be present, to like my own company, to move, explore, help, and be okay with quiet.

A lot of people would kill for chances I take for granted, so I’m making the most of this time and staying grateful.

Respect to the ones who stayed when I was hard to watch—and harder to deal with.

And to the one who never left: me. taken in Thailand by @kofameup
