As an athlete, a son, a brother, a teammate, a teenager. You never want to hear the words “you may never walk again.” Hearing this it felt as my life crashed. I didn’t know what to do, I thought of all the things I wouldn’t able to do like play the two sports I love and dedicated my life too. No more after schools runs to help clear my head after a bad day. I truly thought my life was over. The night it happened I hadn’t had my phone 14 hours after the accident. When I was given it I saw the amount of text messages from people and realized no matter what the outcome is I have a whole village. My teammates, coaches, friends, and family have all been close in contact with me letting me know I’m in there prayers and there wishing the best for me. This really showed me that a warrior always has a village behind him. A teammate/leader of mine that when through something challenging aswell reminded me that no matter what happens people won’t leave your side and that I am in gods hands and he has his best thoughts in mind for me and to follow his lead(@wes_hubb ). Sitting in the hospital bed having thousands of tests run on me, CT scans, MRI scans and always having someone by my side really shows how god is always in your life no matter what happens. Thankfully my body has been healing slowly but surely and I’m gaining strength back in my legs. My doctors have informed me that I’m definitely out for the rest of my football season but also that I may be out for wrestling season. It all depends on how my body heals and how long my PT and treatments take to make my body stronger to where it once was. I just wanted to say that I’m very happy to have my village and if you ever feel like you don’t belong or no one cares just remember everyone has a village. As much as I wanna be upset about how my season went, I’m just grateful I was able to compete this year. Not another group of guys I’d wanna lose and grow with. 3/4. #agtg Philippians 3:13-14. by @kolbysprole
