Daniel Borces (@daniel_borces) has shared the first single “The Read” from his forthcoming debut album Enigma Machine earlier this week. One of our favorite tracks out of the nine. That 🎶 don’t believe just because the read feels right 🎶 is probably the best pre-chorus line of the year! 😲👍🏼👍🏼 It’s out everywhere with the music video. The Read Song written & composed by Borces Daniel Castro All instruments performed, recorded, mixed & produced by Daniel Borces Mastered by Iqbal Rohan Artwork by Daniel Borces Music Video by Daniel Borces @daniel_borces @therealiqbalrohan Enigma Machine out November 24th. “The Read”, the first single from Daniel Borces (@daniel_borces)’s debut album Enigma Machine is out today! On handing his decisions to a deck of cards and learning to reclaiming them back, Dan reflects: “An online friend read my cards over a video call, and it left me feeling illuminated and inspired. I’d lost control of one part of my life, so I started practising tarot myself, hoping it would help me understand what was going on. It got to a point where my own fate and my actions felt suspended, like I couldn’t start my day until I’d pulled the right set of cards. Eventually I realised I could take control of my life without them. You don’t have to believe something just because the read feels right.” A music video by Dan himself is live everywhere. Didn’t expect he would do that at the end. Stream and watch links in bio🃏 Enigma Machine out November 24th on Kolibri Rekords. by @kolibrirekords
We’re thrilled to announce Enigma Machine, a debut album from songwriter and guitarist Daniel Borces (@daniel_borces)’s personal project is set to out November 24 via Kolibri Rekords! Known for his bittersweet melodic sensibilities, Borces has shaped the alternative sound of Singaporean musical landscape, most notably as a core member of indierock trailblazers Subsonic Eye (@subsoniceye) and slowcore trio Vegtable (@vegtable.band) amongst many others. Usually more focused on guitar duties and occasional vocal stints, Borces ventures into personally uncharted territory on Enigma Machine by playing everything himself and drawing from a wide range of references, from the hazy ’90s rock of Galaxie 500 to more modern contemporaries such as Far Caspian and 22 Degree Halo. The first single “The Read” out tomorrow October 20. Pre-save link in bio 📸 by @kolibrirekords
