[#駒形傭兵 // GW01.26.02] [名]: "Agmundr Red Fist" [注解]: Classic Blood Claw Sargeant Although I haven't posted for a while, I've been painting a bunch of 2nd/3rd Edition Space Wolves. The goal is to have five on foot, five with jump packs, and five on bikes. This was the fourth on foot I've finished (just one more to go for a combat squad - I've already done six with jump packs. Whoops!). There was some minor conversion work (mostly patching holes in the sculpt, but also removing a wolf tail from his power fist to improve the silhouette of the miniature). I used a 3rd edition arm with bolt pistol as most of the squad are 3rd edition models. Quite happy with how he came out. More pics of Space Wolves coming soon (I hope). [#駒形傭兵 // GW01.26.01] [名]: "Olden Wolf" [注解]: Classic Wolf Lord in Terminator Armour. My entry into the #oldendemon2026 Classic SciFi category. Body and left arm are from the Wolf Guard Terminator Champion. Right arm is from the Space Marine Terminator Captain that came out in 1999. Axe is from the original Kharn the Betrayer miniature. I added cabling to the arms and some splints under the feet to straighten up his poster and make him stand taller. I put him on a 32mm base for a better fit. Figs. 5-7 show the conversion work. Fig. 8 shows the bits, including some I decided not to use. This is a conversion I'd wanted to do back in my mid 20s, when some friends and I got together to start playing 2nd Ed 40k a few years after 3rd Ed had come out. I would never have imagined that there would be such an awesome community revisiting the game 20 years later. Hence my desire to participate in this (and last) year's @olden_demon, and play a small role in amplifying said community. There are so many amazing entries this year. Good luck to everybody who submitted their work (and to the team in going through them all!!). I've been super inspired to keep working on these Space Wolves. Images show the left side of 'The Flaming Priest'. I really like how the Blood Lotus kamon came out on this model. I think it's the best I've been able to do at this scale. Next up will be a detour into Classic 2nd/3rd Ed Space Wolves, before coming back to share some more creepy Yōkai-themed JSA and Nomads I've painted over the past few years. [#駒形傭兵 // INF01.26.05] [名]: "Hōkama the Firebug" [注解]: Ryūken 9 with HRL inspired by a minor character from Koike Kazuo & Kojima Goseki's "Kubikiri Asaemon" (aka "Samurai Executioner"). This is a model I converted twice. In 2010 I tried to give her a Hannya mask (fig. 6) but it ended up looking too much like a troll from Warcraft. I decided to give her a different Noh mask and replace the missile launcher with the appropriate loadout. You can see the updated greenstuff work in figure 4. Figure 5 shows the sculpting I did on her back around 15 years ago, trying to replicate the old Oniwaban. All parts are classic @infinitytheuniverse N2 models. Body is from the female Kempeitai. Right arm is from the Keisotsu Missile Launcher. Most of the left arm is greenstuff, but I couldn't find a pre-paint pic. Left hand, comms device and weapon are from the original Nomad Wildcat HRL. She was repainted in January 2025, when I was trying to figure out a new formula for my old JSA colour scheme. I used some AK Interactive black brown in the mix, which is so matte it leaves a rough texture on the models. I have since revised the formula to avoid the grainy surface. I had the M50+macro out to take pics for Olden Demon (which I'll be sharing over the next couple of days), so I thought I'd take some shots of her as well. [#駒形傭兵 // INF01.26.04] [名]: "Takuan the Monk" [注解]: Keisotsu Paramedic. Another model long left unfinished. One of the early purchases in 2010 when I was first getting into N2. Very simple conversion. All I did was add some prayer beads and some pouches to distinguish him from the other Keisotsu. Named after the monk that tamed Miyamoto Musashi's wild spirit in the first of Inagaki Hiroshi's Samurai Trilogy movies. Body is from the N2 Keisotsu Missile Launcher. Arms and gun are from an N2 Acontecimento Regular. Chonmage added with greenstuff. He is now ready to join his comrade as they dive bomb on to the battlefields of Neo Edo! I really enjoyed kitbashing @zenitminiatures miniatures with @infinitytheuniverse bits, adding #greenstuffsculpting for details and #scratchbuilt smoke grenades. They make very unique, distinctively JSA-themed space pirates.
