Finally got to try the Salmon in Truffle Soy Ikura Bento box from @komeyanobento! It was $22.95 and very filling. The truffle taste was *chefs kiss*! Next time I want to go back and try the duck breast bento! ⁣

Visited Marumago’s main farm in Shizuoka, Japan and learned a great lesson about the possibility of tea, in a traditional way and an “new school” way, which will dedicate to our product development process.

Big thanks to Suzuki San, Mikey San, and more importantly Herbie San! ありがとうございます!

Can you spot Yannie, the creator of your favorite matcha drinks at Komeya No Bento? 👀

For Yannie, being a pastry chef is about more than mastering techniques. It's about creating something that reflects her own vision and taste. She constantly experiments, learns, and refines her recipes — not simply to meet conventional expectations, but to achieve the standards she sets for herself.

And her passion for learning doesn't stop there. From learning alongside professional pastry chefs in Japan to exploring new culinary techniques, Yannie continues to expand her knowledge and refine her skills, always seeking ways to make her creation even better.

Because at Komeya, we believe exceptional drinks aren't simply made — they're thoughtfully developed, carefully refined, and crafted with purpose.

Next time you enjoy your favorite matcha at Komeya, we hope you'll taste the care, creativity, and dedication behind every sip. 💚

🍱 Salmon in Truffle Soy Ikura Bento, matcha latte 🍵

OVERALL it was not bad!! As you can see, they are super generous with the portions 😏 could barely finish! The best part was the salmon ofc… super fresh 🍣 the other sides were just ok IMO. The truffle was a bit too fancy for me, could have done w/o.

🍵 The matcha latte was refreshing, but nothing crazy compared to its hype 🤪

🍵 matcha latte: with mochi added $1.25 (SUPER WORTH HIGHLY RECOMMEND)

I am certain this is the best matcha I've had in San Francisco so far. Mochi was a terrific addition. I got 50% sweetness which is my preference and it made it so perfect. 👍
