This Mid-Autumn Festival, I’m teaming up with graphic designer @sstyliu (aka my sister) and potter @cirrus_clay (my grad school lab mate) to bring you a beautiful gift box set! XIE XIE @konbinisf and @yunhaishop for bringing us together on this foggy SF morning to enjoy creative Taiwanese food together crafted by local chefs and founders 🌁🇹🇼⭐️

since moving to the Bay Area in 2016 I don’t know if I ever attended an event where literally HUNDREDS of people showed up to enjoy Taiwanese food on a Saturday morning. it’s so beautiful watching people fall in love with the food I grew up with.

it’s been my mission as the cofounder of KACE to properly communicate the unique vibrant beauty of our Taiwanese fruit teas to others. i’m still trying everyday but on this day it definitely felt like we are well on our way :)

We had a pretty unexpected jump in demand, followed almost immediately by a week-long holiday break we’d already planned. For those of you who came last week and were disappointed to find us closed we hope you’ll return and we appreciate your patience.

We’re back this week with the same hours as July and better prepared for larger crowds. Thank you for showing up, selling us out, and bearing with us while we figure things out as we go ❤️. by @konbinisf

8/4 UPDATE: Because of the incredible response, we’ve decided to make a few changes to create a better event experience for everyone:

We introduced a ticketing system (now sold out!) that guarantees prepared food for ticket holders from 11a-1p. After 1p, the purchasing of prepared foods is open to all, but will likely be sold out. Still, folks are welcome to come and hang out, shop Konbini, and sample Yun Hai condiments/snacks for the entire duration!

Finally, we’ve had a couple menu changes to streamline operations in response to the high attendance. Swipe for menu updates.

Come celebrate one of the luckiest days of the year (also Taiwanese Father’s Day, or “Ba Ba Day”) with a Taiwan-ish brunch party in SF!

On Saturday, August 8th from 11a-2p, @konbinisf and @yunhaishop are throwing a block party featuring dishes and desserts by @konbinisf, @lil_devil_noodles, @lunarbakerysf, and @mtkakigori. The food will include @yunhaishop ingredients like preserved radish, Taiwanese jams, and stone-ground sesame paste. There’ll also be drinks by @drinkkace (no booze, but plenty of tea to go around).

-Fantuan, with preserved radish and 13-spice braised pork, by @konbinisf
-Hand-Pulled Dan Dan Noodles, by @lil_devil_noodles
