GR Corolla Time Attack prep finally finished!!!

Huge shoutout to @racebredcomponents for sending me this chassis mounted splitter kit to prototype and to track test on my GR Corolla Time Attack car.

This one is specifically for the Grow Design lip kit on the first gen bumper, but they will be offering splitter kits with other popular lip options in the future along with the OEM bumper as well.

We caught up with Alex at Sonoma Raceway to hear how he diagnosed a head gasket issue, got the car fixed in a time crunch, and still made it out to the track.

Third time at @racesonoma and came away with a new personal best: 1:51.381

First track day of the year, so it felt good to shake the car down and immediately set a new PB. Also took home 1st place in the @555engineering Time Attack and fastest GR Corolla lap of the day.

The setup hasn’t changed since my last outing, and I’m still running on 3 track-day-old @nankangmotorsport CRS tires. Honestly impressed with how well they held up all day, while still delivering a PB.

Super thankful for @555engineering and their amazing cooling kits for this platform. I was able to push the car all day without any sort of temp issues. Not having to worry about temps, allows me to focus on driving all day. No limp mode, no AWD malfunction, just pure driving.

Sonoma was a good reminder that real enthusiast events are still alive and well. 🏁

From GR Corollas and GR86s to AE86s, FC RX7s, and 350Zs, it was awesome seeing so many different cars out pushing hard at @speedsf_track_events GR Day.

Big congrats to @kong_grz for taking P1 in Unlimited with a 1:51.381 on our Annex ClubSpec Pro coilovers, while also setting the fastest GR Corolla lap time of the event. 🔥

Moments like this are exactly why we spend so much time developing suspension through real world testing and track use.

Also huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, checked out the cars, talked setups with us, and entered the raffle giveaway. We appreciate all the support and look forward to the next event.

Had such an amazing time at Sonoma Raceway today! All the late nights & hours to get this car ready for the track today paid off. Got first place at @555engineering GRC time attack. PB’d and set a respectable 1:51 lap. Gave friends ride alongs. The car performed so well and super consistent. The vibes were immaculate today and it was awesome catching up with friends. Can’t thank all my sponsors enough for getting this car to this point.
