A couple weeks ago I had the absolute honor to share a message at Genuine’s Choose Kind Camp. This group of young girls ranged from 9 to 14 years old and I got to speak to all of them about who they are. We deep dived into understanding our identity and where that is found, knowing it is in Christ. It was such a special experience to minister to these girls, and praying that the Lord would speak through me to them at least one thing they needed to hear and could remember. We also used reflective journals to take notes then later paint for them to keep for the entire week of camp.
A strong reminder for everyone, though, is that everyone is going through some kind of comparison, world without Jesus, or struggling to find their identity. It broke my heart to see all hands raised when asking if they want to be someone else, compare themselves, or idolize their flaws. Remember that God calls us His daughters and we are children of the King. Nothing else can compare to the identity that He has given us and woven in us.

It’s Giving Tuesday!!

Today is a special day in which you can find ways to give back to non profits, and one near and dear to my heart is Kada’s Promise.
Kada’s Promise was started by dear friend Kadance, who had such a light and drive to give back to children in crisis. Now to keep her legacy alive, ambassadors all over the world hold teddy bear drives and events in order to give back to not only an important mission, but kids who need that piece of hope.

Posted here is a QR code to my Amazon list where you can find all kinds of teddy bears. Please consider purchasing from there and that will go back to Kada’s Promise where I will be able to deliver the bears to child advocacy centers. Happy Tuesday!

I want to make a vulnerable post for a minute not only to reiterate the reason behind creating Konnected Kindness ℠ but also to hopefully reach whoever might need to hear this message.

To put it bluntly, I grew up being physically and emotionally bullied by so called peers. That caused a strain on my mental health and I knew that if I was having a hard time staying strong then someone else might stay quiet too and not know how to handle their own mental health struggles. Konnected Kindness ℠ is the way for me to be that voice for me and others too afraid to speak. Then I thought entering my freshman year of college would make everything better…and I went through it that entire year including an unexpected source (a teacher). First the loss of my Grampy then the loss of my uncle then finally losing my dear friend, Kadance. During all that grief I thought I could be strong but it is something that lingers with you so much that you struggle to keep going sometimes. However, I am thankful for the people who kept me going. But I will say this- I am now so blessed to be able to reflect on these mental health experiences because God has turned this all around to be MY “God Story.” I am here to tell you that you have a purpose here and no matter what you are going through or have gone through, the Lord has a plan and can turn it around to become your testimony that you can impact somebody else with. Just never lose sight of living for the Lord and growing your faith because leaning into that is most important.

Last night I had a great time with the Kannapolis Cannonballers…as always!

First off had an interview about @konnected_kindness and @kadaspromise where I got to speak about the importance and work I have done through my program while also recognizing the legacy Kadance has left.
Then I got to throw out the first pitch yet again! It’s always so much fun to be able to throw out the pitch but I think I still prefer throwing with my brother or dad 💙

I’m so thankful for these opportunities and I am looking forward to the Thomasville parade tomorrow morning and being able to truly have a day of remembrance and honor!

I am so proud to say that the @freedomacademync Teddy Bear drive was incredible and a success!!
We were able to collect 81 bears in total!!
It wouldn’t have happened without all the parents, students, and staff who helped strive for exceeding a goal. So many children will be impacted by this, and the special part of it is how Kadance’s light and legacy is shared everywhere!

Deliveries x3!!!

I am so grateful that today Mom and I had the opportunity to make three rounds of Teddy Bear Deliveries at child advocacy centers! It was a great day being able to share Kadance’s message, light, story, and her heart with each center.

I am so thankful for the opportunity today to speak at @freedomacademync and share Kadance’s story through her book. Each student received a flyer to take home to be able to donate teddy bears and on May 21st we are going to all come back together and pray over the bears before I deliver them! It is incredible to see how Kadance’s light is constantly being shared through everyone working hard to continue on her legacy through Kada’s Promise🩷 by @konnected_kindness

Out of darkness walk!! This morning I had a great opportunity to be a part of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of Darkness Walk on campus! It is so important for everyone, especially college students, to stand together and lift each other up to help prevent suicide. Mental health matters and it needs to be talked about.

If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or contact the lifeline at 988!! It’s okay to not be okay! But remember that the Lord loves you and is where you can find your worth🤍

Always keep in mind the importance of kindness especially random acts of kindness. They go a long way and can brighten anyone’s day. Embracing kindness is a key factor to spreading positivity and God’s word.

The past couple of days were full of meaningful moments but also were full of fun times and laughter. I’m so blessed that I had the opportunity to share my story and what I advocate for with Genuine girls. I was able to show them the real me the reality of being a teenager which even meant me taking off my crown and showing the true sides.
Sunday I had the privilege to speak to the high school girls and we really dove deep into my message and really poured things out while being able to lean on each other and relate to one another with our own experiences——but remembering who God made us to be.
Monday I was able to do the same with 5th-8th graders and it was so much fun! They sure do bring the energy and I had a blast with them while also sharing stories from when I was their age.

After the messages, both days I was able to do one of my Konnected Kindness ℠ initiatives, reflective journaling. We all painted and decorated our very own journals that each girl can use for personal matters that can be effective for their mental health.
It was amazing to see the interaction and receptiveness from all of the girls and I am so grateful for each and every one of them for also teaching me a few things too.
