I appreciate all the love for my new project #UptownAesthetics …but I had to cook something spooky for the season. Mask up and put your ACG and Beef&Broccolis on. #beats #instrumentals #akai by @konscimindsone
One week ago my instrumental album “Uptown Aesthetics” dropped… I haven’t spoken about this publicly, but in 2024 my neighborhood became increasingly volatile with a sharp rise in gun violence. One October evening, while I was holding my four month old daughter getting ready to take her up to her crib, a shootout occurred up the block. Three bullets struck and entered the home, one of which came through the stairwell I was just about to walk up with Ellie. I knew we had to get out of there before someone got hurt. Over the course of one week in early December of that year I sold my home, we bought a new one and moved everything. In January 2025, I treated myself to the new @akai_pro MPCOnePlus. All of the beats on this project were made during baby nap time, before work and/or with my lil homegirl rocking with me in the studio. These instrumentals were cooked with lots of gratitude and peace. #uptowndc #beats #instrumentals by @konscimindsone
My new instrumental album “Uptown Aesthetics” is officially out! Produced, mixed and arranged by myself. Out via @oldsoulmusicco. Mastered by @mixedbyyourstruly. Single and album photography by @princelowery. Graphic design by @beegraphics. This is not a deep DC concept album, but rather a loose homage to the city I was born and raised in, Washington DC. While I love my MPC2000XL and have gems in that vault, all beats were produced on my @akai_pro MPCOnePlus. I tried to show a range of the type of beats I love to cook. Nothing is ever forced. I make beats for MCs to MC to and vocalists to sing to, but they are for music heads to vibe to as well. I hope you enjoy and consider sharing. Excited to share some music news next week…until then, here’s a lil freshness out the pyrex. Also, much appreciation for all the @fuzzandmac “Heide Drive” album love and for rocking out at the album release show. #beats #fuzzandmac #konsci #mindsone by @konscimindsone
Out Now!…my good friends @fuzzandmac have dropped their new album “Heide Dr” produced entirely by myself with the wizard @o_dollah on engineering duty. I’ve known @fuzzjaxx and @mcclainsullivan for a long time, and Fuzz has been an incredible friend and collaborator who has had my back through all the things life has tossed at me. I’m very proud of this album and the both of them. It’s an honor to have contributed the instrumentals to their creative vision. #hiphop #fuzzandmac #beats #instrumental by @konscimindsone
