I used to think I was a psychic. I could feel a shift in a relationship just by the way a text message was punctuated. A missing emoji wasn’t just a busy moment, was a sign of the end.

For a long time, I lived with the crushing weight that “rejection was always delayed, but inevitable.” On the outside, I looked nonchalant or shut down. On the inside, I was catastrophizing everything.

It wasn’t until my ADHD coaching training that I realized this had a name: Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD).

If you or your partner navigate ADHD, understanding RSD is the ultimate game-changer. My latest blog dives into my personal journey and offers a roadmap for partners to provide the kind of authentic reassurance that actually calms the storm. 🌩️✨

“Don’t trust your gut. Your ADHD brain plays tricks on you.”
We hear this all the time, right? And because our brains are wired to keep us safe based on past “failures,” we stop taking leaps of faith. We assume every feeling is just another dangerous impulse.

But in Episode 2 of Coffee & Clarity, we are learning to trust ourselves again. ☕️✨

Here is the difference I’ve found:

⚡️ Impulse is a knee-jerk reaction. It comes from agitation or a need for dopamine. It feels urgent, loud, and it hates waiting.

🌳 Intuition is like deep tree roots. It’s grounded. It doesn’t scream; it nudges you during moments of clarity and calm.

The Fix? The Power of the Pause. ⏸️ Impulse dies in the pause; intuition thrives in it. Before you act, take a breath. Check in with your body. If the urgency fades, it was an impulse. If the knowing stays, it’s intuition.

👇 Tell me below: When was the last time you actually listened to your intuition?

☕️ The Brew: Today we are drinking Mujeres Axola from Guatemala 🇬🇹. This is a beautiful coffee from a women-led co-op, roasted by @sbtxt.coffee . It’s sweet, nutty, chocolatey, and made for a warm flat white on a cold morning. 🍫🥛

Me? A perfectionist? Have you seen my laundry pile?” 🧺😅
If you have ADHD, you probably identify more as a procrastinator. But here is the biggest “Aha!” moment I’ve had as a coach: Procrastination is often just perfectionism in disguise.

Welcome to Episode 1 of Coffee & Clarity! ☕️✨
In this episode, I’m spilling the beans (literally) on why it took me forever to post this first video. I got stuck in the two biggest traps of ADHD perfectionism:
1️⃣ Outcome Perfectionism: I wanted to skip the messy work and go straight to the standing ovation. I prejudged the result, thinking if it wasn’t a viral masterpiece, it was a failure.

2️⃣ Process Perfectionism: I convinced myself I needed the “perfect” camera, lighting, and script before I could even hit record. I was stuck thinking there was only one “right” linear way to do this.

It felt like staring at a brick wall. 🧱 But remember: That wall is just a veil. Done is better than perfect.

👇 Tell me in the comments: What is your “brick wall” right now? What are you putting off because you don’t feel “perfectly ready”?

☕️ In The Cup Today: We are kicking off the series with a stunner from Jimma, Ethiopia 🇪🇹.
* Producer: Mohamed Aba Nura
* Roaster: @sbtxt.coffee (Toronto)
* Notes: Sweet peaches, nectarines, and a creamy chocolate finish. It’s juice! 🍑🍫
