These are cinnamon roll cookies. They definitely don’t look like the cookies from the recipe that I used. They spread out way too much (not sure why) but the texture and taste was very good. @bakedbythelake #dessert #cookies #cinnamon #sweets by @kookybaker

These s’more cookies were made because @jennycookies shared a recipe for them. Darn her!🤣🤣 They might have been easier to make if I had followed her directions but I had to go to an event after I mixed together the dough. I put it in the refrigerator and the next morning, the dough was hard as a rock! So, I had to work it a bit to form the dough into balls. Then, it was too soft to go in the oven, so they had to “chill out” in the freezer. Next time, I think that I will throw then in a 9x13 pan and make bars out of them. 😊 All in all, they were still very tasty. ❤️ #dessert #dessertlovers #cookies #smorescookies #sweets by @kookybaker

Nanaimo Bars…My mom used to make these every December to give to everyone. This particular batch was made using a recipe from Baked By The Lake. Her recipe uses a 9x13 inch pan. My mom’s recipe uses a 9x9 pan which yields a thicker bar. Both are good. #desserts #chocolate #grahamcrackers #yummy #bakedbythelake by @kookybaker

This month is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. In addition to dealing with infertility, I also experienced 3 miscarriages prior to the birth of my first child. Two were early in the first trimester. The 3rd one was in the second trimester. My sister had started to look into becoming my surrogate. It was a horrible time of darkness as I wondered if I would ever become a mom. I wish that I had social media back then, to have the support from other women that were experiencing the same thing. This is a shoutout to Benjamin (?) the pilot, from @alaskaair. He had the misfortune of sitting next to me, on my flight back from Denver to Seattle. He was extremely kind and patient when I asked him all of my annoying questions related to being a pilot. I learned quite a bit, while he learned not to sit next to an overly chatty passenger. We did create a game for the pilots and flight crews to play at the next Alaska gathering. 🤣 Anyway, although he was not technically working, Pilot Benjamin continued to be a great representative of Alaska Airlines.
