Behind the scenes of hosting a Quacks Tournament. 💜

1 month before my friend Hanh @sutekina_dreams gifted me Quacks not knowing she and her sister would like it so much they’d buy their own copies.

2 weeks before our friend @dingkzhang hosted his own board game tournament for Let’s Go to Japan, and Hanh voiced an idea I’d had so many times but never acted on.

“Why don’t we host our own?”

We’d never done it before but on the heels of excitement, we asked around and found so many friends willing to help and lend their time and energies to make it happen. We cross referenced our busy schedules and realized the only day everyone could make it was in less than 2 weeks.

I still had not taken the decor down from my last party, had no halloween decor that would match the game theme, and we were worried not many people would be able to come last minute. But we decided to do it anyway. And through everyone’s effort we collectively pulled together my favorite event to date. I am already so excited for the next one, so feel free to follow our journey doing more of our favorite things with our favorite people. ❤️

We went as part of the included Seattle City Pass package and would highly recommend it. My highlight was the free flowing filtered sea water network that housed anemone that you could touch!

Only a month late in celebrating our July birthdays, so as far as coordinating busy schedules goes we’re right on time!

Our first meal in the new Casa Seng! (caSENG?). It makes me nostalgic of when they were helping us move into ours 🥲
