POSTS STORIES REELS

Figured it was probably time for a new photo, and I kinda liked this one. So..

Hello 👋🏻 and welcome. My name is Nicole and the cute dog on the photo is my dear Stitch, my soul dog. He is an (ex) stray dog from Spain and yes, he's always giving you a flirtatious wink. But in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king, right?

We're both dinosaurs with him being 11 and me being in my 30s and we spend our days in the lowlands. You might know that land as the Netherlands.

I'm an introvert that likes to spend her time with reading, games every now and then, and walks. I enjoy the simple things, life's complex enough.

I enjoy everything fantasy and whimsical may it be on tv, books, art or games — I just want to explore new worlds and get lost in them. I'm usually drawn to imperfections, flawed characters and (inner) battles. Sometimes a true reflection that makes you think twice, sometimes it's simply nice to go through someone elses experience and empathize.

I don't have the energy to post daily nor the money to buy that many books.. but I hope that this place can still be one you'll enjoy. I'm happy to connect! ♥︎

Now, who are you and how did you end up here? 🤔 by @koowl_

Gifted. 🤭🌷
Of Darkness And Light [arc] by Ryan Cahill.

Received some special bookmail today and I could not be more excited!

The fact that @tbbpublishing and @ryancahillauthor both considered me 'worthy' enough to receive these physical ARCs is beyond me and I am forever cherishing these 💕 Also, before 'The Fall' I'd never received an arc and the very first happened to be of the series I talk most about, which makes it éxtra special. 🥹

Truly, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 for considering me and sending me these arcs!

I still have to find Of Blood And Fire though 🥹 so if anyone out there wants to part with their extra copy, pleaaase consider me! I'll happily cover shipping costs.

Now, if you've missed all my previous rambling on The Bound And The Broken. Please read these books, you're missing out if you haven't yet! Dom't let the size of the books intimidate you, every word in there is worth it! They're everything you want in a fantasy story: dragons, battles, grey characters, adventure, heartbreak, laughter. Simply a worthy journey, so spread those pages and start reading asap! Mark the date: 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 in your agenda!

The books received or will receive a newly designed, shiny cover throughout the whole series, now that Ryan is a published author 🌷

Fairyloot's epic design was a rather pleasant surprise. I kinda like how different this book is from their usual design choices.

As pretty as these editions are, they are still moving to another shelf where they will be adored more than I ever could.

Unfortunately the story of Piranesi wasn't for me, so a book friend who absolutely loves (!) Piranesi is getting both of the books from me ♥︎

Love them well, Aurora 🫡🌷

The Exile is one of my favourite companion novella's in The Bound and The Broken (you know, the series I can't shut up about) and so I feel deeply honoured to help reveal it's new cover art 🌷

Is that not a cover screaming for you to open those pages? Because you totally should. This is the story of The Exile. And he will have his vengeance, by blade and by blood.

Besides, I promise you that each novella will provide you with an extra detailed layer to the world and story - you do not want to miss any of it ☺️

Thank you @tbbpublishing and @ryancahillauthor for the trust and opportunity to help share this masterpiece with more readers out there!

I feel absolutely honoured to welcome this series as my first Fantasy T1 set onto my shelves 🥹 the books are incredibly beautiful and the quality is just chef's kiss.

I'm thankful for @thebrokennbinding to ensure that the books are up to par with the quality they deserve, it's well worth the wait.

I am stunned. Just gorgeousness x 4! 😍 by @koowl_

I can keep it nice and short: it's too short. I want(ed) more. 😝

This novella follows Alvira, Eltoar, Farda and a young Aeson before "The Fall" ☺️. I think that alone should probably intrigue you guys enough.

𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.

It's definitely - again - food for thought when it comes to perspectives, true grey characters and their development throughout the series.

I've yet to find something negative on this series other than the "it's not enough", I will be sad when it all ends.

Special thank you to Ryan for accepting me in his review team ♥︎ I will be forever grateful.

I utterly enjoyed 'the Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi' by @sachakrabooks and now the sequel has been delivered 😍

I'll have to make time to read this - since reading atm isn't going as easily lately - , but hopefully I will love it as much as the first book! ♥︎

Three @richardswanauthor books on my shelves and none of them are read yet, is this a sign to push them up the TBR pile? 📚👀

I took a bit of a gamble but I'm in the mood for something else entirely! Curious if it'll pass my judgement positively, lol.

Super stoked to help reveal the updated (!) cover for @philipcquaintrell.author 's 𝑶𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑾𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔 with gorgeous artwork by @nailseni ✨️

I'm still a little bit intimidated by the size of these series because we are clearly dealing with the king of chonker books here - but from what I've been reading, it'll be worth it!

Now, which cover do you prefer? Old or new, and why? 🧐

I am in AWE!

Well worth the wait if the books turn out like this. Such gorgeous books.

I like to nitpick on some bits sometimes, but I have nothing to complain about. 🤭 These books are absolute trophies to have on my shelf! ♥︎

And also, the number I was assigned is chef's kiss haha 😌 by @koowl_

The Shadow Gate is here! 😍 Part two in the Dragon Spirits series by @_llmacrae and will you look at all that beauty?!

Can genuinely say Lauren is a gem of a writer ánd person. She absolutely deserved to receive a wonderfully crafted special edition of her books.

Can't wait to complete the set. There's a couple more illustrations in there for you to enjoy 🧡 and if you haven't read these yet.. read them if you're looking for a unique take on dragons! by @koowl_
