Kopiteori met the Indonesian Embassy Singapore!

On October 27th, 2023, we received an invitation from the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. We discussed various things - from coffee trend development in Singapore, the role of MSME actors, and product standards to exciting menu ideas.

The London Coffee Festival, the world’s largest coffee and hospitality event, embracing London’s bustling coffee scene and its creative subculture, was held at Truman Brewery, London has come to an end.

This event was officiated by Drs. Desra Percaya, M.A., Ph.D., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Ireland, and the International Maritime Organisation. At the Indonesia Pavilion booth, Kopiteori highlighted Sulawesi coffee, particularly from South Sulawesi, emphasising the shift from quantity to quality in the London coffee market. With many coffee processors in South Sulawesi adopting better processing techniques, Kopiteori, as a local coffee company in Makassar, ensures strict supervision to improve the perception of Sulawesi

We together with Mrs. Ayu Siti Maryam, Indonesian Trade Attaché in London, expressed optimism about the campaign to change global perceptions about Indonesian coffee, especially Sulawesi coffee, which places it more favorably on the world coffee market.

And the excitement is still there. We learned a lot of new things from this event and felt proud that most of those who visited the booth were people who really liked Indonesian coffee. Moreover, visitors happily welcomed Toraja, Enrekang, and Luwu coffee.

In a conversation with the visitors, they expressed that the problem they faced regarding Indonesian coffee was the high price. This means that some large buyers do not buy Indonesian coffee too much, so the availability in the market is also getting less.

Well, with every challenge comes an opportunity. Now, it’s just a matter of working to realise solutions to seize this great opportunity.

We hope that events like this will improve the image of Sulawesi coffee, which was previously considered expensive and low quality, to quality despite the high price. Hopefully, we can also become a Bridge Market Networking for local Sulawesi farmers.

Walaupun dari awal kami sudah berkomitmen pada penggunaan produk halal pada semua produk yang kami produksi. Alhamdullilah sekarang, dengan adanya sertifikat halal @muipusat ini warga Kopiteori tidak lagi perlu ragu.

Insyah Allah, sekarang semua produk Kopiteori telah mendapatkan HALAL MUI resmi 🙏🏻

Kemarin, @kptrplayground menjadi ruang untuk bertemu dan saling berbagi cerita lewat secangkir kopi. ☕️❤️

Melalui ¡Hola, España!, kami ingin membawa lebih dari sekadar pengalaman mencicipi kopi. Ada budaya baru untuk dikenali, tradisi untuk dipahami, dan percakapan yang tumbuh dari rasa ingin tahu yang sama.

The Barista’s Love Language.

Di balik bar yang ramai, selalu ada tangan yang saling membantu. Saat satu mulai kewalahan, yang lain datang mengambil bagian. Saat satu kehilangan ritme, yang lain membantu mengembalikannya.
