I loved my wedding dress.

Didn’t love myself while searching for more than a year before the wedding.
I tried on so many dresses before the one and none of them felt right. I thought it was the dresses, but really, I just didn’t feel like me in any of them.

Everyone kept saying, “You’ve lost weight.” I didn’t see it.

Until my wedding day.
I didn’t cry when I saw the dress. Didn’t cry while I got ready. I almost cried when my husband saw me.
 (Definitely cried while reciting my vows 👀)

That moment, that look, made it all make sense. For the first time, I felt beautiful. I felt like a bride.
My dress wasn’t just a dress. It was part of my healing.
And honestly, it was made for me. 🤍

One week ago, I said ‘I do’ to my best friend, dance partner, prayer warrior, and forever love, and yes, I’m still floating! 💍💕 Daniel and I tied the knot in front of God and our favorite people, and it was pure magic (with just the right amount of happy tears).
