This past week felt like six whole months.

I spent so much time listening, observing and reflecting that the revelations and growth moments had me feeling like a new versions of myself moment to moment. (The multiple mid day naps in the sunshine were also helpful in getting lost in time.)

I found myself so grateful to have so much room to grieve what was taken from me. I had spent the last decade creating very intentionally and using instagram as my digital journal and communication hub with all the people I have connected with over my many lifetimes. In less than an hour it was hacked and stripped down to a facade with my webs of connection still attached.

I didn’t even realize how much I had lost until it was gone; and I still haven’t fully felt lead to what is next, but this is a beginning. I will continue to listen, observe and reflect. If this week that felt like half a year taught me anything it’s that I am deeply and divinely supported. My creativity, organizing, community, advocacy and healing will always exist beyond a screen.

Here’s to BEing
Here’s to becoming
Here’s to remembering
Here’s to creating
Here’s to defining myself for me
And so it is.

It was one of my favorite weekends of the year. I step into this new day and week so full of gratitude.

Prince is officially older than me! Happy birthday to my dawg!
