They say a firstborn son is the male version of his mother.

And maybe that’s why I see so much of myself in him.

His kindness.
His compassion.
His ability to feel deeply.
The way he cares about people, even when they don’t see it.

The older he gets,
the more I notice pieces of my heart reflected back at me.

But my greatest wish isn’t for him to become me.

It’s for him to become fully himself.

To trust his intuition.
To lead with love.
To stay connected to who he is in a world that constantly tries to tell him who to be.

If I’ve taught him anything,
I hope it’s that his kindness is a strength,
his heart is a gift,
and the light within him is meant to be shared.

Watching him grow into the man he’s becoming has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

My firstborn.
My greatest teacher.
