“Self Portrait Backwards” 2025 16x20 inches, colored pencil drawing of Jasper by @kosillu
“Inside Of Me Are Two Wolves, I’m Suing That Fucking Surgeon” (2026) 18x24 inches, Colored Pencil - - - This is a narrative piece, Ill talk more if this drawing gets accepted into the International Portrait Awards. Here are a few small thoughts: guilt is feeling like I did something wrong. Shame is different, it’s that something’s wrong with me. I'm realizing that the mask I put on to protect myself as a child is destroying the things I love as an adult, maybe life is the pursuit of fixing everything I ever missed. by @kosillu

“Loud Mouth (with fucking teeth)” 2025 colored pencil, 9 x 12 inches (22.86 x 30.48cm), vellum - - - This is a self portrait narrative drawing about my experience with “reading the room” as an autistic person. I have an incredibly hard time knowing when things are appropriate to say, if what I'm saying can be taken as insulting or misconstrued in some way- so I often make people uncomfortable, angry or sad with what I say. I recently upset a very important person in my life really bad with an unintentional comment which inspired this piece. I wanted to base it off that scene in “The Shinning”- where he’s breaking through the wall with the axe- except in this its a locked door. The locked door being opened is a metaphor for how I force myself into conversations and arguments with people because I don’t have the ability to properly discern what is appropriate and what is not. In this piece Im am crying, which represents my want to keep the door closed… but I’m a “loud mouth (with fucking teeth)”. I love you, I'm sorry. by @kosillu

Self Portrait (2024) 9x6 inches, colored pencil - - - This drawing is a re-draw of the first self portrait I ever made 2 years ago. That self portrait is also what got me back into hyperrealism drawing. I have grown a lot in my skill since then. This drawing took 3 days, I spent around 25 hours on it. Thank you for looking :)) by @kosillu
