Another few shots from the Colorado trip that perfectly encapsulates what i aim to achieve with my first portfolio
- Perspectives.

the first two photos are those black spots you see all over this rock i found that you can see in the 3rd picture. i absolutely love how you can see the striations in the stone, to me it almost resembles the cracks in the ground you can find in desert climates. It also astounds me to see the little black dots so close up, as i have not the slightest clue what they are or how they're so firmly secured onto the surface of the rock itself.

My hopes with photography is to showcase a different, perhaps less explored perspective(s) on every day things we may see but never take the time to appreciate, or even acknowledge.

I find it super interesting that although im fully aware that i relate to almost no one, i still find myself longing for peoples acceptance. Its a natural part of being a human i suppose, wanting to fit in with the group. But the last decade or so has really solidified the idea in my head- the group is fuckin retarded.

Why are we so adamant about pleasing people we have nothing in common with? Why, as humans, do we find it necessary to relate to everyone we speak to? This can be a double edged sword. On one hand, its important to try to meet people where they stand; on the other, it can be a gigantic waste of time and energy trying to get someone to understand reality when they've been duped for so long.

I think the most important thing (in this regard) to do is to find your tribe, and never let them go. The folks who understand your mentality, your emotions, and your desires. You'll maybe have about 3-5 TRUE friends that you can count on if youre lucky. Take care of those people.

All the other noise really settles when you focus on your tight knit group cut the chaff.

Im not sure how thalia had the strength to make this video, but i love it so much and wanted to share it with everyone.
