An update from Mars - Kosmogeneia are alive!

After our recent changes we've taken some time to regroup & figure out the best way forward. We've been quiet but we haven't been idle! One fewer member just means more doom for the rest of us.

And on this holiest of days (#bandcampfriday - link in our bio!) we wanted to send you all a signal that we aren't over - we're just getting started! We'll be releasing new music very soon, the album is still on its way and we're excited to get back on stage in 2027.

We've been sleeping, but The Sleeper Must Awake.

We're sad to announce that J has decided to step back from Kosmogeneia, having been devoured by Shai-Hulud. We kept telling him to play without rhythm so as not to attract the worm, but he's just too good a bassist. Enormous respect, thanks and love to our friend.

Kosmogeneia will be going on hiatus while we figure out the next step, and all of our 2026 gigs are now unfortunately cancelled - apologies to the promoters, and especially to anyone who was hoping to see us live.

We're only sleeping, though. And The Sleeper Must Awake.

We had a brilliant time at Saddle Summer Slow Sesh in Chester yesterday! All of the bands were brilliant, our set went over really well (including the debut of a new song!) and we had loads of fun. Thanks to everyone who came down, and to Lorraine and Mark for having us!

Our drummer @johnrgandy got some very weird looks on the train home, because he'd been anointed with blood by @tumanduumband and had forgotten to wash it off. 😂

Sadly Space Witch aren't able to attend this Saturday, so you'll get extra riffs from us and the others.

Doors at 3, first band at 3.30.

See you there. by @kosmogeneia

Rehearsal day! We'll be debuting a new song in Chester next Saturday so today was a great chance to run through it together. It's a stormer!

There are still a handful of tickets left for the Saddle Summer Slow Sesh - it's a cracking lineup and works out at less than £2 per band! Make sure to get there early too, because @cosmicfilthband are on first and they're brilliant. Hope to see some of you there, come and say hello!

It's #bandcampfriday and what better way to celebrate than by treating yourself to a @kosmogeneia t-shirt? You too could be the highlight of everyone else's hike or the angry talking point of your cousin's wedding. A top-quality shirt (printed by the legends at @pinsandknucklesmerch) with art by the incredible @toxinfigure, this t-shirt is only ruined by being worn by our drummer. Rescue it by wearing one too!

Our EP is Pay What You Feel too, feel free to grab one for free!

Link in our bio. We really appreciate everyone's support so much. Exciting new things coming soon, watch this space!

It's been a whole year since we released our debut EP!

I'm sure you've already got it... but if not, go grab it on Bandcamp - it's PWYW.

It's also available on all streaming platforms. by @kosmogeneia

As requested by @son_of_boar here is J's (current) pedalboard.

Given that he changes pedals (and basses) more often than he does his underwear, this might not be his pedalboard next week!!!

The @ehx Sovtek Big Muff Deluxe is the newest addition. He loves being able to blend in some clean signal to retain clarity in the low end.

The yellow pedal bottom left is a Red Rocket Holy Mountain (clone of the Midnight Amplification Holy Mountain. GT120/OR120 style preamp) and is always on.

Only a month to go until our next gig, at the @thesaddlechester Slow Summer Sesh in Chester on 15/08. Well, we say "only" - honestly we wish it was tomorrow!

A brilliant doomy lineup with @mufunta_band, @tumanduumband, @tellemahookah, @spacewitchband, @kosmogeneia (in the coveted sixth headliner slot), @independenttruckingband and @cosmicfilthband - headlined by the fantastic @krakenwaker!

Really hope to see some of you there, these are bands you'll be seeing a lot more of in coming years so tap your inner hipster and be able to say "I saw them in the early days"!
